Mariah Carey’s three-word response to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding goes viral
The three-word reaction from Mariah Carey to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s extravagant Italian wedding that’s currently trending online has been shared widely.
56-year-old musician was queried regarding her opinions on the lavish $50 million wedding of the Amazon tycoon this past weekend. Some admirers perceived her response as a discreet form of critique or disapproval.
The photographer asked the singer, “What were your thoughts on Jeff Bezos’ wedding?” as she strolled along the street, in a video clip that’s currently trending on X.
Instead of directly addressing it, the award-winning artist simply stated that they weren’t present at the event, drawing a parallel with Mariah Carey’s iconic “I don’t know her” remark from 2003 in relation to their musical counterpart Jennifer Lopez.
Mariah was then asked: ‘Were you not invited or what?’
She graciously chuckled and replied, ‘Oh, don’t turn this into that.’

Spectators found herself entertaining with her response, as one commented, ‘I’m not sure if she’s aware of those [tearful emoji].’
In 2003, when asked about Lopez, Carey playfully responded with what appeared to be a casual remark, stating, “I’m not familiar with her.
One fan left a meme of her saying the quote underneath the new video.
‘Who? What wedding she doesn’t know it,’ another person added with a laughing emoji.
‘It’s evident she recognizes him when she claimed I wasn’t there, let’s not hide it.’ Another chimed in, followed by a laughing emoji.
‘Love she had a sense of humor about it.’
Mariah was quite fashionable during her outing, sporting a long-sleeved black blouse paired with blue denim pants and black open-heel platforms.
She had her long, blond hair pulled back into a side ponytail and hid her eyes behind a pair of shades (sunglasses).
At a grand, star-studded ceremony, Jeff and his new spouse declared their lifelong commitment, surrounded by some of the biggest names in entertainment from around the globe.
Even though Mariah wasn’t present, the multi-day celebrity wedding was graced by many high-profile personalities instead.
Among the distinguished attendees were Sydney Sweeney, Kim Kardashian, her sister Kylie Jenner, their mother Kris Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump along with her spouse Jared Kushner, and Orlando Bloom.

At the wedding ceremony held on Giorgio Maggiore island, which was attended by some of the world’s richest individuals in a 16th-century basilica, their combined wealth exceeded an impressive $461 billion.
Among the illustrious attendees were technology magnates, families known from reality television, and icons of cinema and television. They spent their night dancing in the shimmering Venetian waterways, continuing well into the early hours of today.
According to reports, the event, which cost approximately $20 million and sparked anger within the local community, featured a lavish dinner priced at $1,000 per guest. At this “extremely intimate” gathering, guests were asked to leave their phones behind.
Reports say that an event costing around $20 million and causing discontent among nearby residents, offered a $1,000-a-head meal for the stars. At this private affair, mobile devices were strictly prohibited.
Over the weekend, the festivities persisted as the newlywed pair enjoyed their honeymoon-like escapade, partying on a yacht alongside the recently separated duo, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, in the enchanting locale of Capri.
Meanwhile Mariah showed off her jaw-dropping weight loss during a trip to Disneyland this weekend.
To pay tribute to her environment, she donned Minnie Mouse ear headbands along with large sunglasses, safeguarding herself under the bright sunlight.
Often associated with a certain flair, Mariah had someone at hand to shield her from the sun’s intensity with an umbrella overhead.
More recently, the renowned songwriter had a conversation with DJs Ebro Darden and Zane Lowe in Los Angeles. During this talk, she hinted at her forthcoming sixteenth studio album.

This is her debut album in eight years, coming out under her new music company, Gamma, following her departure from Epic Records, where they released her previous album “Caution” in 2018.
Earlier this month, Mariah unveiled her new hit song “Type Dangerous,” which initially ranked at position 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In conversation with Zane and Ebro, she playfully hinted: “So, what’s up next? Oh, that would be my upcoming album! I’d rather not spill all the beans as I prefer to keep some surprises in store.
Nevertheless, the artist who became synonymous with “All I Want for Christmas” announced that the album was completed and would consist of approximately 11 to 12 tracks. Moreover, the audience rejoiced when they heard there would be some traditional Mariah-style ballads on the new release.
She went on saying: ‘The second song will be released shortly, and I can hardly wait! It has a summer vibe that I really enjoy, plus I love its rhythm too.’
As reported by Forbes, the popular singer with 19 number-one hits plans to secure her 20th chart-topping single with the release of “Type Dangerous.
‘She’s fighting to stay contemporary,’ her longtime producer LA Reid told the publication.
