As a long-time fan who has grown up with Mariah Carey‘s iconic Christmas tunes, I must say her recent Instagram post was nothing short of magical. The way she effortlessly embodies the spirit of the season, year after year, is truly a sight to behold.
Mariah Carey appeared on Instagram this Sunday to give a warm welcome to the month of December.
55-year-old holiday music icon delightfully showcased herself to over 13 million fans by posting a captivating slow-motion video set to her classic Christmas tune, “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.
The captivating vocalist adorned herself in a deep-red, plunging V-neck dress with long sleeves and matching gloves, all fitting snugly.
The number that closely followed the curve showcased a waist-wrapping style, highlighting the well-defined physique of the seasoned musician.
In a casual, simple manner: Carey, mother of 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan (with ex-husband Nick Cannon), posted, ‘Stepping into December as if…’
In the video clip, I gracefully strutted towards the lens, my sun-kissed, golden-blonde tresses artfully arranged in a side part, cascading softly across one eye with a sweeping fringe.

Currently, the mastermind behind fantastical music is gracing stages nationwide with her enchanting performances as part of her Christmas-themed tour.
The tour, which was unveiled in August, is a tribute to the enduring success of her classic Christmas song, All I Want For Christmas Is You, as it marks its 30th anniversary.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my journey kicked off on November 6, right here in sunny Highland, California. But wait, there’s more! The grand finale of this exciting series is set to take place under the star-studded skies of Brooklyn on December 17. Stay tuned for an unforgettable experience!
Mariah’s setlist is rounded out with 26 songs and the concert is around 90 minutes-long.
People can expect performances of the celebrity’s most famous and easily identifiable tunes along with popular holiday favorites.
Every December, it has turned into a tradition for Carey to publicize her mid-90s Christmas record.
Every year during the holidays, you can hear this popular song at the top of the music charts because fans keep playing it and making it well-known everywhere.
In a 2023 conversation with Parade, Carey opened up about the origins of her most significant single, a collaboration with 66-year-old Brazilian composer Walter Afanasieff, revealing its backstory.

As I reminisce, I find myself transported back to the past, specifically to an old house in Upstate New York, where my writing journey began on a compact DX7 or Casio keyboard tucked away in a small room.
At that moment, she explained, she was merely jotting down all the thoughts and ideas that evoked a sense of Christmas for her – things that brought forth a festive feeling. Her intention was to share these feelings with others as well.
Although many people claim that composing the melody required just 15 minutes, Mariah clarified that the actual recording process wasn’t as seamless.
She admitted that the process of creating the record required some time, as carefully layering the background vocals and other details isn’t something that can be done quickly, like within just five minutes.
She reiterated: ‘It’s literally impossible unless you had three choirs.’
