Mariah Carey Makes Epic Return to Australia After 11 Years for Fridayz Live!
In the year 2025, Mariah Carey will be back in Australia, taking center stage at Fridayz Live. This will be her first tour in Australia in more than ten years.
Exclusively, Daily Mail Australia disclosed on Tuesday that the pop star aged 56 will perform concerts in Sydney and Melbourne towards the end of this year.
Starting this very October, I’m thrilled to join Fridayz Live on their long-awaited journey across Australia, following a year’s hiatus! We’re gearing up for an epic tour that will grace cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth with some of the biggest names in music. Can’t wait to be part of this incredible experience!

Pop legend Mariah Carey will soon take her “Celebration of Mimi” tour, marking the 20th anniversary of her renowned 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi, to global fans. It’s anticipated that Australia will be included in the international tour schedule, with details to be revealed soon.
A representative for Mariah indicated on Tuesday that she’s very excited to renew connections with her fans in Australia, as shared with Daily Mail Australia.
‘This upcoming “Celebration of Mimi” tour offers a great chance, and they’re making arrangements to visit Australia as part of the tour schedule towards the end of the year.’
Recently, Mariah playfully hinted at potential tour dates in Australia by sharing an Instagram video that displayed an Australian flag and kangaroos on a calendar as a subtle clue.
This follows the cancellation of her planned 2018 Australian tour due to a ‘scheduling conflict’.

Although the specific dates and locations haven’t been finalized just yet, everyone is advised to keep an eye out for upcoming updates regarding the event.
With Carey’s lasting fame and the excitement building for her Australian comeback, it’s likely that tickets will be snapped up promptly upon release.
Currently, the renowned pop artist has disclosed what has been most troubling for her during her extensive music journey spanning over several decades.
While conversing, she confessed that she found it frustrating when people called it a ‘comeback album’ after its release.
Initially, their labeling it as a “comeback album” bothered me, she shared with the outlet. However, these days I simply think, ‘Ah, that’s my comeback album.’

Three years following the release of “Charmbracelet” in 2002, a project that involved partnerships with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri came out. However, the reception to “Charmbracelet” was mixed, and it entered the US Billboard 200 chart at the third position upon its debut.
Regarding her previous album’s triumph, she acknowledged that the term ‘comeback’ could be somewhat fitting.
Carey voiced her exasperation when she posed the question, “How many times must I make a return?” (implied answer: more than once)
She noted that if people ‘know the album, then they usually are fans of the album.’
The entertainer clarified, ‘Not everyone is familiar with that particular album. That being said, many will find new songs within it and, in a sense, experience its unique atmosphere.’
Last week, Mariah took to social media to commemorate a significant milestone anniversary. In a post addressed to her 14 million Instagram followers, she expressed her excitement about celebrating this special occasion together: “Happy ‘Mimi’ Anniversary!! Here’s to us celebrating this one!
A special edition 20th anniversary iteration of the LP will be released on May 30.
In her Instagram post, Mariah mentioned that while creating #Mimi20, she had the chance to revisit all the significant memories connected with a crucial phase in both her personal and career journey.

This new album contains a few of my most popular songs so far, along with several personal favorites that hold a special place in my heart. I’d love to hear which Mimi lyric is your favorite! Keep an eye out for more exciting surprises in store! Warm regards, MC.
In a recently posted video by Spotify, Mariah expressed that ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ holds a significant portion of her life – musically, through its songs, and personally, in terms of the journey it took her on as an artist and individual.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I can’t help but express my admiration for the track “Fly Like A Bird” from the album. To me, it’s the vocal performance I’m most proud of and one that truly resonates with me.
Mariah expressed that the song was so powerful, it felt like she was communicating with a higher power, reflecting on her own thoughts, and reaching out to her fans all at once. To this day, it continues to feel that way for her.
Globally, the album achieved a staggering sales figure of 10 million copies, while an impressive six million were bought within U.S. borders.
From 2008 to 2016, the celebrity was wedded to Nick Cannon, and together they are parents to a set of 13-year-old fraternal twins named Moroccan and Monroe.
