Mariah Carey lets twins Monroe and Moroccan take the stage at Christmas show in Los Angeles

As a lifestyle expert, I find it absolutely heartwarming to witness Mariah Carey involving her children Monroe and Moroccan in her Christmas extravaganza at the Hollywood Bowl. It’s not every day we see such a legendary artist sharing the stage with her offspring, especially during one of the most iconic holiday shows.

At her concert held at the renowned Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on a chilly Friday evening, Mariah Carey was assisted by two delightful elf helpers who contributed to spreading festive joy.

As a proud mother, I graced the stage with my 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, during a break in my recent tour stop. It was an honor to have them join me, as I, a Grammy winner aged 55, was recently immortalized at Madame Tussauds.

The diva, adorned in a shimmering white fit-and-flare dress with sleeves resembling an angel’s wings, asked the group, “What are your thoughts on handling the show for a brief moment while I step backstage?

‘Really? Seriously, Mom?’ they asked.

Indeed! Go ahead, you’ve got this nailed! That’s what the famous singer of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” said to the budding performers.

Afterward, she called for her styling team to accompany her away from the stage. With a smile, she jokingly remarked, “I’ve always got to have someone by my side.

A man in a red sports jersey and gray trousers was making his way towards a drum kit, while another woman donned a strapless red minidress, fishnet stockings, and black boots picked up an electric guitar.

Afterward, they commenced performing the introductory chords for The Waitresses’ Christmas Wrapping tune as additional dancers entered the scene.

As soon as everyone was in place, they began singing the lyrics to the 1981 holiday classic.

The duo later performed a mashup of Let it Snow and Deck the Halls, per People.

This isn’t the first time Carey has included her children in her annual Christmas extravaganza.

In November 2023, Kim Kardashian filmed a performance of the ‘Queen of Christmas’ in a duet with Monroe (of Jesus Born On This Day) as she attended the concert with her daughters North and Chicago.

Carey shares her children with ex-husband Nick Cannon, 44.

2024 signifies the 30-year milestone for her debut holiday album, “Merry Christmas,” as well as the unveiling of the timeless hit “All I Want for Christmas is You.

She shared with The New York Times how fulfilling it is and expressed her deep gratitude for it, as well as for everyone who shares their appreciation for her music, such as those who listen to her Christmas tunes in July. This practice has grown over time. Essentially, she’s thrilled that her lifelong dream of doing this is now a reality.

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that I’ll be spreading my unique take on holiday joy to well-behaved kids all over the U.S., up until the 17th of December.

Subsequently, Carey is planning to head to Aspen, Colorado with her loved ones to enjoy a secluded Christmas celebration.
