Margot Robbie’s Wuthering Height premiere look featured HAIR braided into her gown and a bracelet made of the Brontë sister’s locks ….. while the movie’s set was inspired her skin

Margot Robbie looked glamorous at the London premiere of ‘Wuthering Heights‘ on Thursday night, wearing a beautiful gown and styled with flowing hair as she walked the rain-soaked red carpet.

I was absolutely blown away by the actress at the premiere! She looked incredible in this really bold, see-through dress with a beautiful, old-fashioned corset. She’s playing Catherine Earnshaw in the new movie based on Wuthering Heights, and honestly, she totally embodies that strong, passionate character. Everyone’s been waiting for this adaptation, and she just nailed the look!

Designer Dilara Findikoglu drew inspiration from a traditional mourning bracelet seen on Charlotte Brontë, and Margot wore a similar version.

I’ve always been fascinated by this bracelet! It’s said to contain locks of hair from Emily and Anne Brontë, and it really speaks to Victorian mourning customs. Back then, people often wore jewelry like this to remember and honor family members who had passed away – a beautiful, if bittersweet, way to keep their loved ones close.

Margot wore a copy of a 175-year-old hair accessory, and the detailed braided design was echoed in the corset she wore, which was made of blonde hair matching her own.

The actress has long admired the designs of Dilara Findikoglu and wore several of her outfits while promoting the Barbie movie in the UK last year.

In a similarly unusual decision, director Emerald Fennell shared that the wallpaper in Cathy’s bedroom was made from silk printed with images of the actress’s veins and freckles.

At a film screening at the BFI Southbank, she described how they’d asked the actress to provide detailed images of her veins and freckles. They then printed these onto silk, created a form with stuffing, and covered it with latex to give it a sweating effect.

Initially, the room appears simply lovely and pink. But it’s a powerful image, representing the feeling of being turned into an object – valued for beauty, like a collectible item, similar to how one might feel upon becoming a wife.

Emerald also shared an interesting technique she used to help her actors prepare for their roles: she made small ‘shrines’ and put them in their rooms.

I was completely blown away by what she shared! She told me she had this incredible idea: she wanted to scour the internet for the very best photos of each person in the couple, and then create little shrines dedicated to them in their bedrooms. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture, a really unique way to show how much they meant to each other.

Jacob [Elordi] had a surprisingly dedicated fan shrine in his room – not just to Zendaya, but also to Margot Robbie. And Zendaya had one right back! It’s really relatable to see someone’s first professional photo – it shows they’re just a normal person, too.

The director revealed that Margot Robbie contacted her directly, expressing interest in the role of Cathy after the script was sent to her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.

I gave them the material to work with, and thankfully Margot offered to play Cathy. I hesitated to ask her directly, though, because we have a unique dynamic, and I didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable.

I hesitated, wondering if I should act. But I didn’t, and that’s because she’s much more courageous than I am – she was the one who took the initiative.

The director cautioned fans of the novel that the movie won’t be a faithful adaptation, explaining that while they can’t recreate the story exactly, they aim to capture the emotional impact of the book.

Before the movie comes out, Margot Robbie and her co-star Jacob Elordi have shown off their strong connection and obvious chemistry at several red carpet events.

Fans have noticed similarities between this current situation and how Sydney Sweeney promoted her movie ‘Anyone But You’ in 2023. Like Sweeney, who publicly displayed affection with her co-star Glen Powell, this duo’s recent public displays of affection have led to accusations that they’re using a similar publicity strategy.

Jacob recently surprised people in an interview by saying he and his co-star shared a strong, mutual attraction while they were filming.

In an interview with Fandango, Ryan Gosling shared that he stayed within 10 meters of Margot Robbie at all times while filming, ensuring he was always nearby.

He joked that if you get the chance to work with Margot Robbie, you’ll want to stay close by – within just a few metres – the whole time.

I find myself observing her small habits – the way she holds her teacup, how she enjoys her meals. I keep waiting for something to change, for a flaw to appear, but it never does. She remains perfectly composed.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what Jacob wore to the premiere! He looked absolutely incredible in this amazing dark green suit. Seriously, he was posing with his co-star and just…radiating perfection. I have pictures saved everywhere, it was a moment.

The actor was a perfect gentleman, shielding Margot from the rain with an umbrella while they posed for pictures.

Throughout the promotion for her new film, Margot has been embracing the style of the Georgian era it portrays. Her recent outfits have clearly taken inspiration from both the movie and the 1847 novel it’s based on.

The new film stars the actress as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Recently, the connection between the two actors off-camera has been getting as much attention as the romance their characters share on screen.

Robbie recently shared that she enjoyed the movie’s dramatic ups and downs, and mentioned her character cries throughout almost every scene.

When asked about how she approaches romantic scenes, she explained to PEOPLE that she doesn’t change her preparation process. She noted the film itself requires a lot from everyone involved.

My character is often crying throughout the story, but it was actually a really fun role to play. I enjoyed portraying someone who experiences such intense and rapidly changing emotions.

Wuthering Heights will go on general release from February 13.
