Lee Isaac Chung, the director of Minari, has left the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel film with Margot Robbie, becoming the second director to exit the project. According to Deadline, he departed on good terms due to disagreements about the film’s creative direction.
Warner Bros. and LuckyChap stated that Lee Isaac is an exceptionally talented filmmaker, and his creative input and collaboration have been greatly appreciated throughout the process.
Working with him has made us even more excited about partnering on projects in the future.
According to the publication, they are now looking for a new director after Jay Roach left the project last year. It’s unclear why Roach departed, especially since Warner Bros. originally wanted him to direct the highly anticipated prequel set in the 1960s.
I’m so excited for this new movie! It was first announced back in 2022, and it’s being produced by Margot Robbie herself. Plus, Carrie Solomon wrote the script, which I’ve heard amazing things about!

In addition to the upcoming prequel, a fourteenth Ocean’s movie is now officially being developed by Warner Bros.
George Clooney, who starred in the original Ocean’s films, recently told Entertainment Weekly that the project is moving forward.
“We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up,” he said.

We’re just figuring out the timeline now, mainly deciding when to begin filming. We’re looking at starting production in around nine to ten months.
He said he’d definitely be open to working with his former co-stars, including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Julia Roberts. He mentioned having dinner with Julia Roberts the night before and confirmed they all remain close friends, adding that it would be enjoyable to collaborate with them again.
