Margot Robbie reveals her bogan act at home and her fans can’t get enough

She may be accustomed to the finer things in life now she is a huge Hollywood star.

But Margot Robbie still has her guilty pleasures.

While promoting her new film, Wuthering Heights, on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, the Australian actress revealed her fondness for making a unique dish she calls ‘bogan nachos’ – a surprising take on traditional Mexican nachos.

The beautiful 35-year-old showed Jessie and Lennie exactly how to make the dish, keeping them fully engaged.

Growing up, she always thought nachos were simply Doritos, baked beans, and cheese – that was her definition of the dish!

Growing up, I always thought nachos were super simple: you’d lay down some aluminum foil on a baking sheet, spread out a bag of Doritos and a can of baked beans, cover it with grated cheese, and bake it until everything was melted and bubbly. That was my idea of perfect nachos – what I’d call ‘bogan nachos’ – and it always tasted amazing!

When a clip of the podcast featuring Margot’s recipe was shared on TikTok, it quickly became popular. Fans expressed excitement about trying it, and many Australians pointed out that the recipe felt very typical of Queensland cuisine.

Margot was born in Dalby, Queensland, grew up on the Gold Coast, and eventually became successful in Hollywood.

Elsewhere in the chat, Margot called her husband Tom Ackerley her ‘perfect match’.

She complimented her husband, who is also 35 and works as a producer, on his excellent cooking skills, and then shared a heartwarming detail about their life together.

My husband is an amazing cook – truly talented enough to be a professional chef! We’re a great pair, really.

I didn’t realize how talented he was until we were married. He puts a lot of effort into making spaghetti bolognese, often spending two full days on it.

He makes an incredible three-day fried rice with Korean short ribs, but honestly, his steak is better than anything you’d find in a restaurant!

Margot and Tom first met in 2013 while filming Suite Française. Afterwards, they lived together as friends with other roommates in Clapham, London.

They then formed a romantic connection and married in 2016.

She shared that they continued living with roommates for a few months after the wedding before deciding it was time to move into a place of their own.

Margot shared that after they and their roommates all moved from Clapham to Shepherd’s Bush, the roommates noticed that Margot and her partner had gotten married rather quickly. Soon after, they decided to move out and find a place of their own.

She also confessed to being ejected from the notorious nightclub Infernos and from nearly all the clubs in Clapham. She also shared details about her lively hen party, which included a stripper dressed as a Harry Potter character.

Until 2016, Margot lived in Clapham with six friends in a large, somewhat rundown four-bedroom flat they jokingly called ‘The Manor’.

She once described her time living in south London as the happiest period of her life. She also apparently encouraged everyone in her household to get the same tattoo, making it a requirement for all who lived there.
