Margaret Qualley reveals her husband Jack Antonoff LIED to her ‘first crush’ Adam Sandler so she could score a role in Happy Gilmore 2

As a dedicated follower of Hollywood and a lifelong fan of Adam Sandler, I can’t help but feel overjoyed by Margaret Qualley’s casting in Happy Gilmore 2. Growing up, the original film was a staple in my VHS collection, and Adam Sandler was my first crush (though I never had the courage to tell him).

On The Tonight Show, Margaret Qualley shared some thrilling casting updates while discussing her highly praised horror movie, titled The Substance.

On Tuesday, the actress aged 29 made an appearance on The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon. During her visit, she was inquired about speculation that she is part of the cast for the forthcoming comedy sequel titled Happy Gilmore 2.

Qualley confirmed with delight, “What I’ve been hearing is indeed accurate,” and added, “It turned out to be the most wonderful experience of my life.

She did admit, ‘It’s a tiny part. I’m essentially deep background, but I can die happy now.’

It transpired that her husband, the music producer Jack Antonoff, stepped in to help, but in an unexpected way – by sending a false message to Adam Sandler through text.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard the news about a potential Happy Gilmore 2. Without hesitation, I swiftly contacted my agents and expressed my fervent desire to be involved in any capacity, no matter how small. I humbly pleaded for their assistance, emphasizing that this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, whatever the cost might be.

Later on, Sandler sent a message to Antonoff questioning, “Does your wife play golf by any chance?” To which he responded affirmatively, saying, “Indeed, she’s quite skilled!

Sandler replied, ‘No way,’ as Antonoff asked, ‘We talking ‘Gilmore’ or charity golf tournament?’

Sandler replied, ‘Gilmore. might bug her for a couple days, funny thing. She’d be awesome.’

Qualley acknowledged, “What an amazing husband. I, however, can’t play golf. He chose to deceive for our family’s sake. Yes.

As for the sport of golf, she admitted, ‘Never golfed a day in my life. I’m terrible, actually.’

She mentioned that it was her initial attempt at hitting golf balls inside a barn, having taken some lessons before. However, she admitted that she’s still not very good at it.

When queried regarding their collaboration with Sandler, Qualley replied, “He’s simply outstanding. That was undeniably the most remarkable event in my career.

She added that Sandler was her, ‘first crush’ and the original 1996 comedy classic Happy Gilmore is her, ‘favorite movie,’ adding Sandler is, ‘the greatest of all time.’

In the initial movie, Sandler’s character, an unlucky hockey player, unexpectedly unearths a remarkable ability to drive a golf ball beyond the 400-yard mark.

He finds himself joining the PGA Tour to try and win enough money to buy his grandma’s house back.

This comedy, featuring Julie Bowen portraying Virginia Venit, the head of publicity for the PGA Tour, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin (Happy’s rival), and Carl Weathers as Chubbs Peterson (Happy’s mentor), raked in a massive $41 million profit against a production budget of just $12 million.
