Marc Anthony pledges his allegiance to the Beckhams by performing at David’s stadium opening following Brooklyn’s wedding drama – as Cruz lovingly refers to him as ‘Uncle Marc’

Marc Anthony publicly supported the Beckhams on Saturday following reports that he was involved in some drama surrounding their son Brooklyn’s wedding.

A longtime friend of David and Victoria, both 50 and 51, the 57-year-old performed at the opening of David’s Inter Miami team’s new Freedom Park Stadium.

The couple’s youngest son, 21-year-old Cruz, shared a photo of the singer on his Instagram Stories, affectionately calling him ‘Uncle Marc’ – seemingly a return gesture of kindness.

This follows a six-page statement released by Brooklyn, 26, where he claims his mother interfered with his first dance at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. He alleges that while Marc was performing at the reception, he was unexpectedly called onstage by him, disrupting the dance.

He alleged that his mother behaved very inappropriately towards him in public, dancing on him in front of others. He stated this was the most uncomfortable and humiliating experience of his life.

David was joined by his wife, Victoria, and their children – Cruz, Romeo, 23, and Harper, 14 – for his special event.

Victoria ‘Posh’ Beckham shared a video on social media showing the family celebrating. The clip featured David and his fellow owners giving speeches to the crowd, followed by a shower of confetti.

She wrote: ‘I couldn’t be prouder… I love you @Davidbeckham you inspire us all every day’.

Before the Inter Miami CF and Austin FC game at Nu Stadium, the couple publicly showed their affection while attending the stadium’s opening ceremony.

Victoria wore a stylish white suit with wide-leg trousers and a light grey vest with a keyhole neckline for the event.

Meanwhile David represented his team in a navy suit with the Inter Miami crest embroidered onto it. 

David received immediate support from his family. His son Romeo posted a photo of David at the stadium, and his youngest son, Cruz, shared a heartfelt message about his dad online.

Marc unexpectedly pulled Brooklyn and then Victoria onto the dance floor during the wedding, taking over a special moment that Brooklyn and Nicola had meticulously planned.

According to reports, the singer unexpectedly invited what he called ‘the most beautiful woman in the room’ to dance with him. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the bride, Nicola, but Victoria Beckham, which shocked the wedding guests.

Nicola was heartbroken watching Marc dance to a love song on stage, and she left the room crying.

According to the wedding DJ, Fat Tony, Nicola’s family confronted her and Brooklyn immediately after an uncomfortable dance, and Brooklyn went to look for his new wife following the incident.

Before Marc addressed the accusations, the wedding DJ, Fat Tony, pointed the finger at the Latin singer regarding the claims made about Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding.

A close friend of the Beckhams, Tony, shared that Marc had asked Victoria to dance with their son, and then told the boy, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips.’

He clarified that the performance didn’t involve anything provocative or overly sexual – no revealing outfits or suggestive choreography like the Spice Girls. He explained he’d used the word ‘inappropriate’ because of the timing of certain events, and that’s what he was referring to.

He shared that Brooklyn appeared very upset that he danced with Victoria instead of his wife, and Nicola was reportedly heartbroken, leaving the room in tears.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve heard a lot about family dynamics, and recently, a DJ shared a really intimate detail with me. He described a sweet moment between Brooklyn and his mom – apparently, Brooklyn had his hands on her waist while she wrapped her arms around his neck. It was a really touching display of affection.

He explained that the timing felt wrong, as it should have been a special moment for the couple. Everything happened quickly – Brooklyn left immediately after their dance, and Nicola went to another room, with him following soon after.

He continued, explaining that Brooklyn is a friend and the entire situation is terrible, especially because it’s been so public. He believes family issues are complicated and doesn’t know how it all began, but suggested that someone likely said something that sparked the conflict.

He went on to explain that Brooklyn tends to get worked up over many issues, and even minor problems can seem huge because they draw a lot of attention.
