Mandy Moore’s Disney classic is getting a live-action remake
As a longtime Disney enthusiast and a fan who has grown up with these timeless tales, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming live-action remake of Tangled! The original movie holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to see how they bring it to life on the big screen once more.
Disney has announced another live-action remake of one of its beloved animated films.
In this particular instance, we’re referring to the 2010 animated film titled “Tangled,” a retelling of Rapunzel’s story. Alan Menken, famous for composing scores for movies like “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” and “Hercules,” handled the music. The main characters were voiced by Mandy Moore (from “This Is Us”) and Zachary Levi (star of “Shazam!”).
It’s being discussed that Michael Gracey, the director of “The Greatest Showman,” might take charge of the upcoming project. Meanwhile, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who wrote “Thor: Love and Thunder,” has recently finished writing the newest version of the script.
Despite earning almost a billion dollars globally at the box office, Tangled didn’t get a full-length sequel in cinemas. Instead, it had a brief film, a TV movie, and a television series released.
At present, Disney is shooting a live-action reboot of the movie Moana. This original film already has a follow-up sequel that’s performing exceptionally well in cinemas.
Recently, Dwayne Johnson discussed the photos of him as Maui from the set that got leaked. He expressed his delight over fans believing he had gained muscle specifically for the role and their enthusiasm for the upcoming movie.
It was quite a challenge getting into this suit, and I’m glad you noticed my increased muscle mass because it suggests your eyes didn’t miss the changes,” he explained.
Currently, Robbie Williams’ biopic titled “Better Man” (where the ‘Rudebox’ singer is portrayed as a chimpanzee) keeps Gracey occupied.
Apart from that, he is also preparing to direct a movie version of the popular children’s book titled “Nevermoor”, along with a biopic focusing on the life story of Luciano Pavarotti.
The movie “Better Man” will premiere in the UK on December 26, but will be available a day early in certain U.S. cinemas. On the other hand, you can catch “Moana 2” in theaters right now, and the live-action version of “Tangled” does not yet have a release date announced.
