Mandy Moore Calls Out Amazon for Insensitive Package Delivery to Burned Down Home

Mandy Moore has criticized Amazon for delivering a package to the ashes of her father-in-law’s house, which was affected by the LA fires.

40-year-old actor from This Is Us, who faced criticism recently for soliciting donations for family members hit by the fires, posted a picture on social media showing a single Amazon package at their entirely razed dwelling, apparently captured by the delivery person.

Couldn’t we expect more from Amazon, isn’t it possible for you to show more judgment by not delivering a package to an address that no longer exists?

‘This is my mother and father-in-law’s home, smh.’

DailyMail.com has contacted Amazon for comment.

Previously, a well-known millionaire celebrity responded with a blunt “Go away” to her audience last month, following criticism over her request for charitable contributions for family members who had become homeless due to the Los Angeles wildfires.

The well-known actress, whose residence was among those affected by the city’s devastating wildfire, faced criticism when she set up a GoFundMe campaign for her relatives on social media.

However, Moore didn’t hesitate to answer truthfully when queried about her financial support for her family.

Moore expressed that it’s not constructive or compassionate when people doubt if we are genuinely assisting our own family, based on an assumed wealth from Google searches, instead of the actual circumstances.

Absolutely, we’re participating. A friend of ours, Matt, initiated this GoFundMe campaign and I’m spreading the word because people have inquired about how they can assist us. Unfortunately, we too have recently suffered a fire loss. However, please note that nobody is compelling you to take part in anything. This information is simply being shared for those who wish to help.

Previously, it was mentioned that Moore’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who have an estimated net worth of $14 million, tragically lost their home and all their possessions mere weeks before the arrival of their first child.

Previously, it was mentioned by Moore that her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who were about to welcome their first child, tragically lost their home and all their possessions only a few weeks prior to the birth.

‘Griff, who’s a traveling musician, sadly had all his drum and percussion equipment he relies on for income taken away from him,’ Moore posted on Instagram.

In simpler terms, “Things are incredibly tough right now. Many people are asking what they can do to assist during these challenging times…If you’re able, please think about making a donation and spreading the word to help those in need rebuild.

After Moore’s request for assistance, numerous individuals posted critical remarks. Among their concerns, several questioned why the celebrity didn’t simply acquire a new home instead.

‘You can’t help them? You’re millionaires????’ read one comment.

However, many still stood by Moore’s side during the criticisms, as her supporters claimed the remarks were insensitive and showed a lack of compassion towards a distressing incident.

One supporter expressed deep concern, saying it’s heartlessly unfair that amid such severe sorrow and grief, there’s an abundance of malicious and offensive remarks being posted here.

If you choose not to contribute to this particular family, that’s entirely up to you. However, I strongly encourage you to consider donating to other charities as there are numerous organizations in desperate need of assistance. Let us always strive to act with compassion and understanding.

On the GoFundMe campaign, they’ve collected $142,000 out of their aimed target of $145,000. Among more than a thousand contributors, actor Zachary Levi was one who donated an amount of $10,000.

The GoFundMe was started by Hillary Duff’s husband Matthew Komo.

Previously, Moore disclosed that while her house remained largely undamaged due to the fires, it became uninhabitable.

The home shared by Taylor Goldsmith’s wife in Altadena partially went up in flames because of the Eaton fire, joining numerous celebrities who also experienced the misfortune of their homes being damaged similarly.

In simpler terms, the wildfires in Los Angeles are quickly advancing and firefighters admit they can’t control them due to powerful winds.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, let me share a heartfelt update from a beloved figure in the entertainment world. They recently posted images of the debris left behind after a devastating incident, accompanied by a heartfelt narrative. In their words, a portion of their cherished abode miraculously survived the ordeal.

She wrote: ‘We managed to park and stroll up our street to see the destruction firsthand. Incredibly, the core of our home remains upright for the time being. However, it’s currently uninhabitable, yet largely undamaged.’

Unfortunately, we suffered a significant loss, as both Taylor’s and Griffin’s studios – filled with every instrument and piece of equipment they ever possessed – were destroyed. Additionally, we unfortunately no longer have our garage and the backhouse.

Mandy shared regretfully that none of their acquaintances in the neighborhood seemed to have been spared, leaving her feeling survivor’s guilt. After all, every house on their street was destroyed, even the one belonging to her in-laws.

The artist behind the popular candy tunes went on to say, “Everyone we are acquainted with has lost everything. Each home on our street no longer exists. My in-laws are affected as well.

My brother and his wife are set to welcome their first child in six weeks. They’re our closest friends, and I feel a strange sense of survivor’s guilt.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’m deeply saddened to report that at least ten lives have been lost, and countless structures have been reduced to ashes due to the relentless wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles, according to authorities. These devastating blazes are a stark reminder of the unpredictable power of nature and the importance of preparedness in our communities.

Rapidly spreading fires swept through houses and establishments, causing residents to evacuate due to the thick smoke in narrow valleys and charming communities frequented by numerous famous individuals.

On Tuesday, numerous fires ignited due to strong Santa Ana winds that reached over 70 mph in certain areas. Even though these winds decreased on Thursday, the National Weather Service cautioned that even the lower wind speeds could still cause fires to spread quickly.

Despite an uncertain number of fatalities, it’s anticipated that the death count will increase as rescue teams start sifting through the debris.

Governor Gavin Newsom announced that over 1,400 firefighters from California have been sent out to combat the wildfires. Additionally, teams from Oregon, Washington, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona have also been dispatched to lend a helping hand.

The private firm known as AccuWeather, which specializes in providing information about weather and its effects, has revised upward its initial assessment of potential destruction and financial impact, now projecting between $135 billion and $150 billion. At this point, authorities have not disclosed their own estimates regarding the damage.
