Newly revealed designs suggest a transformation of the stadium into a worldwide cultural center. If their plans come to fruition, the updated stadium will accommodate around 100,000 fans, making it larger than the current U.K. record holder, Wembley Stadium, by a substantial margin of 10,000 seats. Even though no specific opening date has been disclosed as of now, it’s projected that the new stadium will generate approximately 92,000 jobs and contribute around £7.3 billion GBP (equivalent to about $9.4 billion USD) to the economy. At present, Foster and Partners anticipate that the stadium will require five years to be fully built.
