Making a comeback? Lisa Wilkinson turns up at influencer event in Bondi amid claims the controversial TV star is ‘easing her way back into the Sydney social scene’ with string of quiet red carpet appearances
As a dedicated follower of Australian television, I must say that it’s heartening to see Lisa Wilkinson slowly but surely reclaiming her place in the public eye. After months of courtroom drama and a hiatus from our screens, it’s refreshing to see her looking relaxed and happy at these events.
Lisa Wilkinson is slowly building back her public image.
Over the past few months, the controversial TV personality has been making subtle public appearances at several high-profile events, and yesterday was spotted at an exclusive gathering for popular social media influencers.
64-year-old attendees were taken aback at the unveiling event for Vegamour’s latest product, the GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum, held at Bondi Icebergs; this was reported by the Daily Telegraph.
Previously acclaimed project participant radiated a sense of ease and contentment while interacting with notable attendees such as Simone Holtznagel and Amy Castano.
According to the publication, Wilkinson is making another appearance as part of an effort to re-integrate himself into Sydney’s social circle.
Towards the end of last month, Lisa beamed happily on the red carpet during the premiere of Sunset Boulevard in Sydney.
Despite facing challenges, the controversial TV personality arrived radiantly at the Sydney Opera House, making quite an elegant and lively impression.
Towards the end of August, she joined forces with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at a Cauliflower Club rugby lunch gathering.
In March, Wilkinson stepped out for the opening night of & Juliet in Sydney.
According to reports, it appears that Lisa is planning to reappear on television after several months of absence and five lengthy weeks in court, the sources claim.
According to reports from the Weekend Australian, the popular morning TV host from Channel 10, who used to be a beloved figure on breakfast television, expresses eagerness to conduct even more captivating interviews as we welcome the New Year, as shared by close friends.
Last November, Wilkinson left The Project, but she remains employed by Ten until the end of 2024. However, she hasn’t made an appearance on the channel for more than a year now.
Even though Wilkinson was absent from the network for a long time, she stayed in the limelight due to her involvement in a widely known defamation court case.
She was embroiled in a case with Bruce Lehrmann who was suing Network 10 and Wilkinson over an interview with Brittany Higgins that was broadcast on The Project and online.
For the last five weeks of the court’s operational year, the defamation case unfolded in court. Judge Lee has chosen to delay rendering a verdict on this issue.
Supporters of Wilkinson argue that her frequent court appearances have benefited her as a television personality, providing her with a steady flow of media attention.
“Peter Meakin, a previous executive at Seven and Nine, stated in The Weekend Australian that even though she’s been away from television for some time, it’s unlikely anyone would have forgotten her.
‘I’m sure her loyal followers will remain loyal.’
Network Ten maintains they are in talks to develop ‘other projects’ with Wilkinson.
