Fashion magazine Elle UK has been slammed for apparently ‘snubbing’ Blackpink star Rosé.
The New Zealand-born pop star, 28, was at the Saint Laurent Women’s 2026 S/S Collection show during Paris Fashion Week and stopped to have her picture taken.
One of the photos featured Rosé alongside models Hailey Bieber and Zoë Kravitz, as well as singer Charli XCX.
The magazine posted the image on its official Instagram account, but completely cropped Rosé, who was standing on the right side, out of the picture.
The strange exclusion angered fans and followers, especially since Rosé was present at the fashion show as the official global ambassador for Saint Laurent.
While I don’t personally enjoy Blackpink’s music, I admire Rosé’s talent and her success as a brand ambassador with over 84 million followers,” one person wrote.
She genuinely has a larger follower count than all of them put together. This image was intentionally cut off. It seems they simply don’t care for her, I suppose.
Someone else pointed out: ‘It’s interesting that she’s a Global Ambassador for YSL, yet she isn’t in any of the pictures you’ve shown. That seems unlikely to be a random occurrence, doesn’t it?’
Another person voiced a common feeling, stating: ‘Elle UK, please show some respect and apologize to Rosé for the disrespect of excluding her from the photo.’
To counteract this, the publication then shared a collection of photos featuring Rosé on her own.
Even so, it seemed the harm was already done, as people kept complaining about how the second picture was cut off.
The most eye-catching outfit came from Blackpink’s #Rosé, who is an ambassador for Saint Laurent. She was seated in the front row wearing a silky romper with a camisole top and flowing shorts, according to their post.
Despite the kind words, fans were quick to slam the publication’s actions as ‘shameful.’
I was really upset to see the reaction after they posted the new version. It was meant to fix that awful, disrespectful cropped picture from before, but honestly, it felt like too little, too late. I just thought, shame on them, you know? It really stung to see it happen, even with the attempt to correct it. I was just so disappointed. I felt like they should have thought things through before the initial upload. It’s frustrating to see a quick fix offered after causing offense. It felt like a real letdown.

Another suggested that cropping Rosé from the image was ‘unprofessional’.
They pointed out a significant problem with how the fashion industry connects with its audience: a serious lack of professionalism in communication.
‘This whole episode, in which Rosé was visibly ignored and never mentioned by you, makes me angry.
She represents the world as an Ambassador, so please show her the RESPECT she has earned. We, as fans, insist on receiving the highest level of RESPECT in return!
Rosé, originally from Melbourne, has represented the fashion brand worldwide since 2020. More recently, in January, she also became a global ambassador for YSL Beauté.
The seeming slight happened after the pop star received harsh criticism from Zoë, Hayley, and Charli XCX, following an uncomfortable moment between them that was recorded on video.
All four of the stars were sitting front row at the Saint Laurent fashion show in Paris, on Monday.
However, after videos surfaced online showing the group conversing, some people on social media believed that Rosé was intentionally left out of the discussion.
Soon, rumours erupted that there were tensions between Rosé and the other women.

I was really struck by this one moment – Zoë, who’s 36, Hailey, 28, and Charli, 33, were all talking so enthusiastically with each other. It was a bit sad to see Rosé just sitting there beside them, quietly, while they chatted away.
To make matters even more awkward, Charli, standing next to Rosé, was facing away from the K-pop star and towards Zoë and Hailey.
Rosé looked towards the women before she awkwardly lowered her gaze to the ground.
The video quickly became popular online, leading to strong rumors that the three celebrities were intentionally ‘avoiding’ Rosé.
As a huge fan, I was already buzzing about everything, but it really kicked into high gear when Charli posted some photos of her outfit on Instagram after the show. It just added fuel to the fire, honestly! Seeing those snaps made me even more excited and really confirmed my suspicions about something big happening. It was amazing to get a closer look at what she was wearing.
A photo depicted her seated in the front row with Hailey, Zoë, and Rosé. However, Rosé appeared in shadow, while the other girls were clearly lit.
This fueled further rumors of a supposed disagreement and resulted in Charli receiving significant backlash from Rosé’s fanbase.
One user on X, previously known as Twitter, commented that Charli intentionally shared a photo where Rosé appeared unflattering and was obscured in shadows, describing it as psychopathic behaviour stemming from jealousy.
‘I know she posted it on purpose,’ theorised another.

‘Is this real? They did her dirty,’ someone else tweeted.
‘You’re 33, it’s time to let go of those high school-like behaviors,’ another user commented to Charli.
‘She is so vicious,’ read a fifth tweet, while a sixth said, ‘She’s so wrong for this.’
However, some people came to Charli’s defense, suggesting her post probably wasn’t intended to be critical and was more likely due to poor lighting. They also noted that Charli and Rosé have been friends for a long time.
