At the event, Maisie was among Eamonn Holmes and his latest companion, Katie Alexander, who were spending an evening together, presumably on a romantic outing.

During the Valentine’s Day morning broadcast on GB News, he seldomly shared insights about married life with his fellow anchor, Ellie Costello.

Inquired about his earliest memory of Valentine’s Day, Eamonn responded: ‘I ended up marrying her.’ Ellie then expressed: ‘How sweet!’

Eamonn mentioned his former spouse, Gabrielle Holmes, whom he wed in 1985 and has three children – Declan, Rebecca, and Niall – together with.

Following his split with Ruth in May the previous year, Eamonn made their relationship with Katie known, whereas Ruth has continued to be seen as single in public.

Discussing her divorce with a friend at home, Ruth is resolute about moving forward and expresses a sense of excitement towards the possibilities that lie ahead, such as potentially meeting a new person.

When inquired about her current emotional state, Ruth responded by saying, “I’m doing okay. Breaking up, be it a marriage or a friendship, can be extremely challenging. However, one must learn to cope and ultimately find a way to carry on.

‘You can either let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.’

Ruth, who co-parents son Jack, 22, with Eamonn, stated: ‘Although I’m not thrilled that my marriage has ended, I’ve come to terms with it. Now, I’m trying to embrace the freedom of being single and make decisions that cater to my own needs.’

Previously, the host of This Morning (who used to co-host the Friday edition with her then-husband Eamonn) later spoke about handling a separation under the public limelight.

Breaking up or going through a divorce is challenging enough for anyone, even more so when it happens under the scrutiny of public opinion. It’s excruciatingly painful to have people write about you, comment on you, and share their thoughts about your personal life. Most individuals don’t have to endure this in the public eye.
