As a fervent fan of the music industry, I have had the privilege of witnessing the meteoric rise and the subsequent challenges that come with stardom. However, none has stirred my emotions more than the story of Max, the talented singer-songwriter who is currently battling health issues.

Regardless of the 500-mile journey, Maisie Smith intends to spend Christmas with her boyfriend Max George.

On Saturday, Max received a pacemaker implantation following an urgent 2.5-hour heart operation.

36-year-old celebrity from The Wanted group, currently recovering in the hospital following a week-long battle with a 2:1 atrioventricular block, posted an image displaying his recent surgical scar, positioned near a distinctive tattoo.

A heart condition called an atrioventricular block arises when the transmission of electrical signals between the atria (upper chambers) and ventricles (lower chambers) becomes slowed down or interrupted.

However, the EastEnders actor, aged 23, who’s presently acting in a panto in Kent, is firm on her intention to meet her partner in real life.

As reported by The Sun, Maisie shared that they continue to communicate daily via phone calls and video chats. She expressed her efforts to remain as present as possible.

On Christmas Day, I won’t be working, so I plan on visiting him instead. As of now, we don’t know exactly where he’ll celebrate Christmas, but no matter what, we’ll be reunited.

She noted: “He appears more cheerful. It was delightful catching up with him since we don’t get to meet often due to our distance apart, making this encounter even more enjoyable as I got to see not just him, but also his family.

Max posted a message on Instagram following his operation, disclosing that several of his veins failed, leading to complications.

Max exclaimed: “Meet my buddy here! Over the past ten days, this has turned out to be the most fantastic Christmas gift I could have ever imagined.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m sharing my recent experience that might be helpful or reassuring to someone in a similar situation. After undergoing a pacemaker implantation procedure, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours, there was an unexpected complication: some of my veins had collapsed where the wires were intended to be inserted. However, the skillful surgeons and compassionate nurses at the NHS have been nothing short of extraordinary throughout this journey. I am deeply grateful for their unwavering professionalism and care; they are truly the unsung heroes in my life’s narrative.

The surgeon graciously placed the pacemaker near a treasured tattoo of mine, ensuring its protection.

A pacemaker is a small, battery-powered device that prevents the heart from beating too slowly.

Max added: ‘Few more tests to do due to inflamed lymph nodes on my lungs, but that’ll be easy work!

It’s time for some relaxation, after which we’ll face life with renewed vigor! I appreciate every bit of your support, it has truly made a significant difference not just for me but also for my loved ones ❤️

Earlier, it was disclosed that Max would have to undergo an unexpected surgery due to his heart rate not improving as anticipated.

On his Instagram Stories, the singer communicated a tired demeanor while conversing with his audience, sharing that he was about to be taken to the operating room.

‘Just prepping for the operation now, I feel like s**t, but fingers crossed’.

It was revealed Maisie has been struggling to juggle performing in a pantomime with seeing him – who is ‘on her mind 24/7’.

An insider told The Sun: ‘It’s been a really worrying and distressing time for Max and Maisie.

She longs to stay at his bed all day and night, but she’s bound by her commitment to the pantomime performance and feels reluctant to disappoint others.

She’s made every effort to find time to see him during hospital visiting hours, yet it’s been quite challenging balancing all of her responsibilities.

I can’t stop thinking about Max. My deepest wish is for his swift improvement.

After Max pleaded for his heart monitor to boost its settings, it seemed to stop functioning, but then it resumed as he uploaded a fresh video from his hospital room on Sunday.

He shared a new video of himself lying in bed while watching his heart rate hand-sized monitor move from 35 to 34 to 38 before he wagged his finger begging, ‘go up!’

After falling to 37, the star hinted that he was seeking a thrill to boost his heart rate.

He penned: ‘Come on @mancity.. Sort me out will ya?!!’

However, the device then appeared to switch itself off, leaving Max to exhale, ‘Brilliant’.

Referring to his chest, he mentioned, “Apparently, I’ll be getting a new companion implanted here sometime soon, it’s a pacemaker.

“I seem to be experiencing trouble with a part of my heart, specifically a condition known as a blockage. However, the precise cause for this issue remains unknown as more tests are needed to confirm.

As an utterly devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my concern over the enigmatic disappearance of the man behind “Glad You Came.” Despite the efforts of medical professionals, they’ve managed to rule out certain explanations, yet the true reason for his absence remains a puzzling riddle.

Max expressed that it’s quite puzzling indeed, which seems to be the challenging part. The tough part is enduring the wait. My pulse is incredibly slow at the moment. They’re keeping a constant watch over it, and everyone has been simply outstanding.

However, enduring the wait can be challenging. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those situations. Regardless of the outcome, I’ll have to adapt. We’re optimistic that a pacemaker will be beneficial for us.

In his initial post to Instagram, Max revealed he will be spending Christmas in hospital.

Yesterday, I wasn’t feeling well at all and had to be admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, some examinations revealed that there are certain problems with my heart.

More tests are needed to assess the full scope of the issues, and I’ll find out which surgical procedure will help me regain my mobility again.

It seems like the upcoming weeks or months will present some challenges… And, truthfully, spending Christmas in a hospital bed wasn’t part of my expectations!

However, just like any other time, I’m immersed in a sea of love and encouragement from my remarkable partner Maisie, her loved ones, my family, and friends. And, rest assured, I couldn’t be more content knowing that I’m exactly where I should be.

Despite the significant surprise and undeniably a disappointing turn of events, I am ready to face this challenge head-on with everything I possess! I feel incredibly fortunate that this issue was detected early on.

I want to let you know that I might share some updates over the next few weeks, as I anticipate spending about a month in bed. There won’t be an overwhelming amount of activities happening though.
