MCGG Rising Stars will serve as a qualifier for the international event

The tournament is open to everyone, and starting from within the game, Rising Stars will be introduced as a strategic element. Set to begin on September 12th, the early rounds will function as a stepping stone towards online qualifiers. The in-game feature dubbed “Rising Chess Aspirant (MRS)” allows players to exhibit their chess prowess and strive to become the first international MCGG champion.

There are two main phases in this competition: Open Qualifying and Division Finals. The initial stage, which is the Open Qualifying, will be divided into six rounds, running from the 12th of September to the 19th of October. During this period, you can participate by entering on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.

In total, there are seven distinct zones or regions: Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (often referred to as EECA), Europe, Indonesia, Latin America (known as LATAM), Malaysia, and the Philippines. Each participant will face six rigorous phases in order to claim the title of Emerging Champion.

The upcoming finals will showcase the top teams from each division, often referred to as Standout Squads. They’ll compete against each other to secure a spot in the inaugural international tournament hosted by MCGG. This marks the climax of the event, but further specifics will be shared shortly.
