MAFS star Lauren Dunn reveals her ex-boyfriend Ryan Crowley is living just 1km from her Perth home after being granted bail over domestic violence charges
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself in an intriguing situation recently when I discovered that my former partner, the renowned retired AFL player, Ryan Crowley, has moved a stone’s throw away from my abode in Perth, having been granted bail following a recent court case.
On Saturday, Dunn, a contestant from the 2024 season of the popular dating show, posted her response on Instagram following the news that Crowley, aged 41, received bail last week.
On Thursday, Crowley appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court due to accusations of domestic violence that reportedly occurred at a residence in Claremont on Tuesday.
At the court hearing, it was disclosed that their relationship, which was intermittent from 2018 to 2023, lasted for about five years. Crowley, via his legal counsel, contested the gravity of the accusations and challenged the physical allegations leveled against him.
Under the terms of his release on bond, a security of $20,000 was posted and it was mandated that he must remain within Western Australia. Among the stipulations for his bail, he is restricted from communicating with Dunn.

On social media, Dunn shared her reaction to the situation with her 246,000 Instagram followers.
She wrote, “My former partner managed to find someone to cover his $20k bail, so the Western Australian courts allowed him to live at a place just a kilometer from my home in Perth.
She stated that this serves as a strong sign of the worth placed on women’s lives within our justice system, and expressed her gratitude towards the Western Australian Police for their continued assistance.
She also responded to online comments questioning her past decisions.
She remarked, “I don’t feel the need to provide an explanation… It seems his latest strategy is to claim he’s near death, lonely, and at the lowest ebb of his life.
I’m not a heartless being, and in a vulnerable state, I let my guard down and invited him over to discuss the matter instead.
On Thursday in court, it was claimed that a verbal argument ensued following an invitation by Dunn for Crowley to join him.
In court, it was revealed that the situation intensified after they found emails on her computer, which the prosecution suggested had instigated a violent confrontation.

As stated during court proceedings, it is alleged that Dunn dialed emergency services, yet later claimed he did so accidentally upon hanging up.
During the incident, it was claimed that Dunn’s phone was snatched away, and she was kept from exiting the residence.
In addition, accusations made in court also involved charges of physically restraining someone and claims that Dunn passed out during the interaction.
Crowley is alleged to have stayed at the residence during the night, as well as making it difficult for her to depart the next day.
Additionally, it was claimed that Dunn managed to flee through a bathroom window and found shelter in a nearby café, where she communicated with a friend via a message.
Police later arrested Crowley at Perth Train Station.
Crowley is expected to reappear in court on July 24.
No pleas have been entered, and the matter remains before the courts.
