MAFS Star Breaks Down in Tears Over Surprise Pregnancy

TV personality Beck Zemek, known from the show “Married At First Sight,” was overcome with emotion as she announced her pregnancy with her second baby.

Beck announced in December that she and her fiancé, Ben Mitchell, had experienced a deeply sad event – a miscarriage.

On Thursday, the 31-year-old influencer based in Perth posted a video on Instagram, which was actually filmed in March. This video featured her reading a text message confirming her pregnancy.

Beck could barely contain her emotion, breaking down in tears as she saw the positive result.

Following a silent miscarriage and a D&C procedure, discovering that I’m expecting once more has triggered an unexpected whirlwind of emotions within me,” she wrote alongside the video. “Joy, apprehension, anticipation, worry… they’ve all taken up residence inside me now.

This trek hasn’t been a walk in the park; each day brings new uncertainties that I navigate, allowing for glimmers of hope to pierce through. However, it has proven challenging.

Beck went on to say, “At this moment, I was thinking about wanting to find out where exactly I was, so I’d know how much further I had to travel.

Here’s a suggestion for a more conversational rephrasing: “Over the coming days, I’ll give you a glimpse into my recent two-month journey. To begin with, let me share some highlights today, and later on, I’ll fill you in on the details.

As a devoted follower, I eagerly awaited the latest video she shared, which was captured just recently. In this clip, she shared with her 98,000 supporters: “Today, we’ll uncover the stage of my pregnancy progression.

This revelation took both Ben and me by surprise, especially considering that my menstrual cycle hasn’t returned consistently since my D&C. It seems as though I’ve reverted to the irregular periods I experienced during my Polycystic Ovary Syndrome phase.

Continuing, Beck admitted that the news had conjured up mixed emotions.

As a fervent admirer, I can say that there’s an overwhelming whirlwind of exhilaration, yet tinged with pain and, naturally, a dash of fear. I was aware that things might unfold in this manner, but the swiftness of my pregnancy took me by surprise. Truly, I feel incredibly fortunate and thankful for this unexpected blessing.

In simpler terms, a silent miscarriage is when a pregnancy ends without any noticeable bleeding or passage of tissue, meaning the body has not yet expelled the tissue from the womb.

In simpler terms, D&C stands for a medical operation known as dilation and curettage. This procedure is carried out to extract tissue from the womb.

Beck’s followers were quick to congratulate the reality star on her news.

As I embark on this fresh journey, I’m confident it’ll be an exceptional chapter of my life without a shadow of a doubt. Meanwhile, as I share this momentous occasion, another voice rings true with their sentiment: “Tears of joy! You’ve truly earned this, and I couldn’t be happier for you.

Summing up the sentiment of many, a third shared: ‘Actually balling my eyes out watching this.’

In December, I, a dedicated follower, shared that Beck posted a clip on Instagram, where she disclosed her personal experience of having a miscarriage.

In Beck’s own words, she admitted, “I’m having trouble organizing my thoughts and expressions, so I’ll simply put them down. During a regular appointment, I underwent a silent miscarriage in the second trimester.

In those unbelievable moments, I found myself in a state of disbelief. The growth of our little miracle had come to a halt, but my body was yet to catch up on this reality. A series of choices lay before me, choices nobody ever mentions when they talk about pregnancy. These decisions made the entire situation searingly real, as if I could feel every ounce of its weight.

Beck mentioned that a woman’s body remains in a state of preparation for childbirth, even when the fetus is no longer viable.

As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself reflecting on this delicate situation: Even though your midriff remains rounded and your body clings to the familiar sensations of hormonal changes akin to pregnancy, it’s crucial to acknowledge and accept the reality that a significant chapter in your life has concluded.

I found myself in an uncertain state. No longer carrying a child, yet reluctant to let go. It’s a sorrow unique to me, but what I’ve discovered is the affection I held for that tiny being was genuine, regardless of its fleeting nature.

‘We’re just going to try to heal and work through this and move forward.’

She expressed gratitude to her family and companions for their support through a tough period, having only recently organized a baby shower in Perth with Ben, to commemorate her pregnancy, just two weeks prior.

Beck rose to fame on MAFS in 2021 where she was unsuccessfully paired with Jake Edwards.

Their union failed after she cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend during filming.

Beck and Ben welcomed their first daughter, Immy, in May 2022.

Shortly after giving birth, Beck said she was not immediately trying to lose weight.

She advised, during a live Q&A on Instagram, that new mothers should give their bodies some respite from excessive demands, as they have already accomplished a great feat.

Later, Beck pointed out four images she had shared earlier that day, which depicted her postpartum body, specifically four weeks following childbirth.

‘The pics you saw were pics of my uterus going down, not me losing weight,’ she added.
