On their wedding day, Australian rugby league player Todd Carney and Married at First Sight alum Susie Bradley shared an unexpected demand they had – a fascinating revelation!
Instead of providing alcoholic beverages for their guests at their beautiful outdoor wedding on the Gold Coast last month, the newlyweds chose not to do so.
I, a die-hard enthusiast, am thrilled to share that for the past two years, this dynamic duo has chosen abstinence. Instead of serving alcohol themselves, they’ve extended an inviting gesture to their guests, encouraging them to bring their favorite beverages, making every gathering a celebration of shared enjoyment!
She made it clear that she had no intention of providing any form of alcohol whatsoever. Just like Todd, she has abstained from drinking since his release from rehab, and it’s been a full two years since then.
‘I was happy for people to BYO.’
Susie confessed that she was taken aback when Todd told her later on, he had provided alcohol so that everyone could continue enjoying the festivities.
Todd and Susie tied the knot in an outdoor wedding at their home on the Gold Coast.
Posting breathtaking pictures and clips from the beautiful ceremony on Instagram, the delighted pair beamed with joy while reciting their vows surrounded by their cherished family and friends.
As I made my grand entrance clad in a lavish halter-neck dress, its open back accentuating my form in a timeless silhouette, all eyes were drawn to me, just like Susie did when she stole the show.
As she gathered her dark hair into an organized bun, a sleek train trailed on the ground behind her while it moved swiftly forward.
Enhancing her inherent charm using a smoky-eyed look and a nude lipstick, the previous reality TV competitor secured a long, white veil within her hair.
She completed her elegant, yet straightforward appearance by adding a stunning pair of pearl earrings and a bouquet of soft pastel pink and yellow blossoms.
Meanwhile, Todd looked very dapper in his black and white tuxedo.
The pair announced they were engaged for a second time in May 2024.
The couple reconciled in May 2023 after calling off their first engagement in 2022.
On Instagram, Susie, known for her appearance in season two of “Married At First Sight,” revealed joyous news with a heartfelt video showcasing a special, romantic moment.
In the video, Todd was spotted kneeling at the shore, accompanied by the couple’s young son, Lion, who was three years old.
On a Saturday, our paths crossed for the first time. The following day, he whisked me away to this enchanting beach where we shared a delightful meal of pizza and marveled at the sunset. In a moment I’ll never forget, he whispered into my ear, “Let yourself relax on me.” Susie reminisced.
At that exact instant, right there on that particular beach, as I reclined within his embrace, it became clear. It was undeniably apparent to me that my affection for him would endure eternally.
In 2019, the pair started going out together, at which point Todd became a stepfather figure for Susie’s child, Baby.
In December 2020, they publicly declared their first engagement, just prior to revealing that Susie was expecting their first child as well.
They welcomed son Lion in April 2021.
