On Monday’s Married at First Sight, the intruder’s wedding was disrupted when it came to light that Jacqui Burfoot had been exchanging private messages with Rhi Disljenkovic’s husband, Jeff Gobbels, without Rhi’s knowledge.
Now, Daily Mail Australia has exclusively obtained the text messages at the centre of the scandal.
Through some surprising communications, Jacqui contacted Jeff to obtain Rhi’s contact details, aiming to address any unfavorable information she might have come across.
She conveyed that she holds nothing but kindness in her heart for her and has shared only praises about her with others, emphasizing what a wonderful person she is, as she tried to minimize any potential misunderstandings or conflicts.
Yet, as more texts unfolded, it became evident that she had been meticulously strategizing to manipulate the on-camera storyline, as she eventually confessed.
She wrote, “I’m definitely prioritizing myself, and I believe the optimal approach is to allow him to keep appearing on camera, as more of his actions may be recorded in the future.” This suggests that some behaviors are not currently being filmed, but might be in the future.
It’s known that Jeff promptly shared the details of his text conversation with his wife, Rhi, prior to their wedding, whereas Ryan learned about it for the first time on their big day.
At the wedding of Married at First Sight’s newcomers Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias, a heated argument broke out, following the disclosure of a hidden conversation.
The events unfolded after an intense Commitment Ceremony, leaving several couples uncertain about the state of their partnerships, as the tension escalated.
As Morena and Tony strove to start fresh, while Billy and Awhina navigated through their partners’ emotional infidelities, the turbulence in Jacqui and Ryan’s marriage resurfaced.
Despite vowing to press the reset button on their relationship, Jacqui changed her mind overnight.
Eager to help Ryan become the kind of husband she desired, she prepared a list detailing areas where he needed improvement, which took him by surprise, leading to another intense disagreement.
Ryan was left reeling when Jacqui told him she didn’t even want to be considered his wife anymore.
Amid the turmoil, Jacqui made a controversial move – reaching out to Jeff for private advice.
Jeff and Rhi showed clear signs of surprise and discomfort, as Rhi began to feel more and more annoyed that Jacqui communicated with Jeff without involving her in the conversation.
At the next suitable moment, the pair chose to address Jacqui, and that occasion turned out to be at Beth and Teejay’s wedding.
