MAFS Ryan Donnelly Slams Scarlett Cooper for Betrayal Amid Shocking Hookup Drama and Legal Battle

Ryan Donnelly from “Married at First Sight” has finally spoken out about his controversial encounter with Scarlett Cooper, claiming she acted dishonestly for attention and seeking popularity.

At Daily Mail Australia, the 37-year-old expressed his feelings of shock and disbelief upon Scarlett, his former wife, launching a severe verbal assault in public merely a few days after they encountered each other at the Australia’s Most Influential People Party 2025.

The story took an interesting turn when Ryan and Scarlett met at a glitzy Sydney gathering filled with celebrities earlier in May. They quickly connected, and subsequently, they ended up spending the evening together.

Through a sequence of extended Instagram posts, Scarlett, aged 31, asserted that Ryan exhibited harmful and intimidating behavior following their shared evening together. She accused him of ignoring her (ghosting) and criticized his actions as both embarrassing and detrimental to his ongoing legal dispute with Jacqui Burfoot.

Scarlett asserted that at first, Ryan captivated her, using terms like ‘attractive,’ ‘sharp-witted,’ and ‘skilled’ to describe him. However, she claimed he eventually stopped responding to her messages, causing her to align with Jacqui in their intense legal dispute.

Online, Scarlett clearly stated her support for Jacqui, commenting that the other person is acting poorly and will likely be defeated by Jacqui.

Scarlett additionally alleged that Ryan had been sending her bothersome text messages, and further stated that he was enjoying himself by attending parties at nightclubs, contrary to his claims of being a victim of domestic violence.

In an unexpected invasion of personal space, Scarlett made public Ryan’s personal phone number on social networking sites, and eventually, Jacqui passed it along to her network of followers.

But Ryan has now hit back – revealing a very different version of events.

He expressed his bewilderment to Daily Mail Australia, saying, “I can’t believe it has gotten to this point.” He also shared his frustration about individuals using their feelings as a tool, exploiting the topic of domestic violence and the show ‘MAFS’ to boost their own popularity.

Ryan mentioned that he and Scarlett got acquainted through common acquaintances, and later in the evening, they found themselves enjoying each other’s company so much that they opted to spend the night together, with Ryan describing their interaction as being both entertaining and carefree.

He shared that we spent nearly the whole afternoon together. Our connection deepened, but immediately following our time together, I began to sense an uneasy vibe from her, he clarified.

Ryan said Scarlett quickly became possessive and pressured him emotionally.

She began expressing phrases such as, “Don’t disappear on me” and “Don’t cause me pain.” Already feeling the burden of managing her feelings, it was surprising since our initial encounter was quite recent.

Ryan disclosed that Scarlett had been surprisingly encouraging towards him at the outset, providing guidance on his impending legal battle with Jacqui Burfoot.

Or:

Ryan found out that in the beginning, Scarlett was quite helpful to him, sharing advice for his upcoming trial against Jacqui Burfoot.

Or:

Scarlett had initially offered valuable assistance to Ryan in preparation for his court case with Jacqui Burfoot, which he later shared.

All three sentences convey the same information in a slightly different way, using natural and easy-to-read language.

She offered guidance on how to discredit Jacqui in court by saying certain things. She expressed faith in me, implying that Jacqui was not mentally sound. Furthermore, she suggested we share photos with Woman’s Day magazine, potentially earning money from it.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “Ryan clarified that he didn’t intentionally disappear from Scarlett’s radar, but rather found himself absorbed in the meticulous preparations leading up to his upcoming legal hearing, which temporarily slowed his response time to her messages.

She realized I was busy with my lawyer and court preparation. She suggested, “Why don’t we continue texting instead?” I consented, letting her know we would connect again later.

Yet, within only two days after their encounter, Ryan found himself taken aback when Scarlett started criticizing him publicly on the internet.

Or,

Scarlett’s public attacks on Ryan came as a surprise to him less than 48 hours after they first met.

At the gym, a friend shared her stories with me, causing me to have a sudden panic attack. She was upset because she felt I hadn’t responded quickly enough, and asserted that she was accustomed to my responsiveness.

Ryan said he tried to call Scarlett to resolve the situation privately, but she ignored his calls.

He shared his deepest secrets with her, believing in her wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, she breached that confidence so openly, causing me significant pain and distress. That’s the essence of what he conveyed.

Additionally, Ryan claimed that Scarlett attempted to sabotage his legal case by sharing confidential communications with Jacqui through unauthorized disclosure.

‘She mentioned that she intended to forward all evidence to Jacqui for the purpose of damaging me. She was well aware of the delicate nature of my situation.’

Ryan’s legal representative has recently sent Scarlett a formal warning, known as a “cease and desist” order, asking her to stop actions that are considered harassment and the illegal dissemination of confidential data.

He stated that she publicized his phone number on the internet, which is against the law. In response, he consulted with his attorney and reported it to the police. However, even after being asked to stop, she persisted in her actions by continuing to post.

Ryan mentioned that Jacqui too reposted Scarlett’s questionable content to her 86,000 fans, leading to another legal caution.

By the close of our day, Scarlett and Jacqui have provided me with additional proof for my argument, as Ryan stated.

Despite the ordeal, Ryan said he remains confident he has done nothing wrong.

He explained, “I didn’t cut ties with Scarlett or disappear on her. Instead, I was immersed in a significant legal issue, and she was aware of this.

As a devoted admirer, I was eager to meet up with her over coffee and maintain an amicable conversation. Unfortunately, she never provided the opportunity. Instead, she opted to escalate things on social media, seemingly seeking attention or influence.

Ryan said the entire experience has been deeply stressful and emotionally draining.

He stated, “The entire circumstance had the potential to severely damage my court case. It’s troubling how swiftly certain individuals can turn against you, exploiting your weaknesses for public spotlight.

He added: ‘I trusted the wrong person for six hours – and I’ll never make that mistake again.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Scarlett Cooper for further comment.
