MAFS’ Jacqui and Ryan: From Controversy to Steamy Beach PDA!

They’ve been at the centre of some of Married At First Sight’s most jaw-dropping moments.

But it seems Jacqui Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly have put all the drama behind them.

The couple were spotted enjoying a steamy beach outing on October 7 during the end of filming.

Regardless of the recent scandal involving Ryan’s controversial remarks about ‘crazy eyes’ and explicit sexual comments that stirred up a storm during the dinner gathering on Wednesday, their relationship remains robust and unshaken.

In an attractive blue gingham swimsuit that showcased her well-toned physique, Jacqui, aged 29, playfully enjoyed the waves alongside Ryan.

Meanwhile, Ryan, 37, showcased his muscular physique in a pair of bold patterned board shorts.

In a somewhat contentious manner, the groom found himself unable to resist touching Jacqui. With an air of playful joy, he picked her up and held her close, both of them seemingly embodying the carefree spirit of newlyweds as they frolicked in the waves together.

At some stage, they could be spotted walking hand-in-hand while exchanging tender smiles, strongly suggesting that their romantic spark remains very much alive.

A few days ago, the beach outing took place, following an incident where Ryan made a surprising comment that left everyone, including the cast and audience, in a state of shock.

At the lively dinner gathering, Ryan was caught making a humorous remark about Jacqui’s “unusual gaze,” a statement that caused surprise among those present at the table.

However, it was when he mentioned that she was skilled at something else that a wave of surprise swept over the group, causing the other brides to gasp in dismay.

The backlash was swift, with fans slamming Ryan’s remarks as ‘disrespectful’ and ‘degrading’.

Now, the groom has acknowledged that using certain words was a mistake, saying it ranks among the largest blunders he made throughout the study or trial.

In a candid conversation with Daily Mail Australia, I admitted that it was likely one of my most significant oversights during the show.

“There’s abandoning your partner on your wedding day, there’s pretending to be brave and posturing in various ways – but that behavior was simply uncivil and thoughtless. It was far from being chivalrous.

Even though he apologized, Jacqui has received a mix of responses regarding the controversy. It’s been disclosed that their complex relationship has been marked by numerous heated disagreements occurring out of public sight.

When asked whether Jacqui’s portrayal on the show has been fair, Ryan didn’t hold back.

He playfully posed the crucial question, ‘What’s your take on it?’ He also suggested that the audience might not be privy to all the details.

‘This marriage has been quite the roller coaster ride, and it’s not something you can jump on without expecting some turbulence. Reflecting on ourselves isn’t always simple, but I must admit that I see aspects of myself in this relationship that aren’t always pleasant.’

Additionally, he mentioned that Jacqui encountered challenging times herself, asserting that she appeared “fairly unpleasant” during the wedding and that her emotions fluctuated significantly throughout the course of the experiment.

Ryan admitted, “I was caught off guard several times, and events unfolded that I hadn’t anticipated. It certainly leaves one pondering about the state of our relationship.

Regardless of the highs and lows, Jacqui and Ryan continue to maintain a robust relationship at present. Their public displays of affection on the beach seem to indicate that their romantic connection remains vibrant.

However, as more dinners turn into heated confrontations and commitment ceremonies reveal unexpected surprises, we wonder if their relationship can endure this test – or are we on the brink of yet another Married at First Sight separation?
