MAFS Groom Splits From Olympic Fiancée
It appears that Ryan Gallagher, the groom from Married At First Sight, has parted ways with his fiancée, the Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm.
In December 2022, the pair got engaged, but they had stopped following one another on Instagram earlier, fueling speculation about a potential split.
In a simpler and more conversational style: Ryan, aged 36, known for his appearance on the 2018 season of “Married At First Sight,” appears to have hidden or unfollowed Emily, who is 32 years old, on social media.
Sky News Australia reports that the source claims the couple has ended their relationship, which was marked by the birth of their son, Sampson, two years ago.
According to the source, Ryan and Emily have been working hard to adjust to their new circumstances, which has proven quite challenging.
‘Their number one priority is Sampson and ensuring he continues to feel supported by both parents.
‘They haven’t felt the need to make public statements.’
According to the report, it’s been stated that Ryan moved to Brisbane and is currently residing independently following their separation.
Emily’s last appearance on Ryan’s grid was more than two years ago.
The post was a screenshot of the pair’s appearance on The Challenge Australia.
Ryan had also apparently removed a snapshot showing he and Emily with their newborn Sampson.
The image showed the couple snuggled up on a hospital bed, their tranquil sleeping infant held tenderly by its father.
In more recent times, Ryan made an appearance on Emily’s social media during the holiday season, as she posted a picture showing her, Ryan, and Sampson smiling with Santa Claus.
The Olympic swimmer also sparked rumours of a split on her most recent Instagram photo.
The picture depicted Emily and Sampson relishing their mother-son bonding time at the popular Gold Coast amusement park, Dreamworld.
Yet, it didn’t go unnoticed by observant fans that Emily was missing her engagement ring in the snapshot.
‘Where’s Ryan?’ one follower asked to which another replied: ‘That’s true. I hope they are okay.’
Another chimed in with: ‘No Ryan and no ring. I hope it doesn’t mean anything.’
Emily also shared a clip, last month, that showed her happily playing with Sampson.
In the latest video, Emily’s wedding ring wasn’t visible, which added more fuel to the speculation about a possible break-up in their relationship.

In December 2022, they started a romantic relationship, just four months following their first encounter during the filming of The Challenge Australia.
However, they opted to keep their engagement under wraps until March.
Emily shared with the Daily Telegraph, “What we truly desired was to reside within a small, personal sanctuary – something that would benefit us and our loved ones.
Ryan suggested to her, standing by a dam on his farm close to Goulburn, New South Wales, using a trio-diamond ring sourced from the local jeweler Zantis in Goulburn.
In a conversation with Stellar last February, Emily shared that she and her partner weren’t pressured about getting married right away. However, they might decide to have a spontaneous wedding, or as some would say, “run off and get married” at any moment.
Emily remarked, “At times, we seem to ponder over the idea of running off together or simply tying the knot at the local city hall.

According to The Courier Mail, she claimed the nine months had been ‘awful.’
She playfully mentioned that she goes by the name Shrek now, and then went on to speak more seriously about her swollen feet.
In the fifth season of Married At First Sight, Ryan gained popularity after being matched with the series’ contentious character, Davina Rankin.
In the show, it was depicted that Davina was involved romantically with Dean Wells, who was partnered with Tracey Jewell.
