MAFS Groom Signs with Roxy Jacenko’s Talent Agency
Roxy Jacenko represents some of the most promising talents in showbiz.
However, unexpectedly, the PR maven opted for a different path this week when her Talent Ministry agency agreed to represent Adrian Araouzou from Married At First Sight.
On Monday, it was revealed that the previously contentious cast member had joined the elite group managed by Roxy, following his stint on the television series.
They invited contact for potential chances, as they were seated near a collection of pictures featuring the celebrity.
Adrian becomes part of the group that includes tennis partner Costeen Hatzi and fellow television personality Ash Pollard, all being members of Ministry Of Talent.
After Araouzou revealed details about his challenging time during the experiment, he responded to the severe criticism online.
In a candid discussion, the vocal bridegroom openly shared his feelings on the psychological impact of reality television, and explained why he chose to remain part of the experiment, despite his partner having a child.
During an honest conversation with Daily Mail Australia, a 30-year-old sports apparel entrepreneur based in Sydney, candidly shared that he was taken aback upon seeing his televised edit, and further disclosed that he hadn’t anticipated the torrent of criticism that ensued afterward.
He mentioned that they weren’t prepared for dealing with such situations, explaining, “Seeing oneself on television committing errors and facing judgment from the online community can be overwhelming. This was an entirely novel situation for all of us in the cast.
In a surprising partnership during the 2025 season, a man with a fiery personality was matched with Awhina Rutene, a 30-year-old single mother residing in Western Australia. This man turned out to be one of the most contentious figures of the season. Adrian himself admits that the portrayal viewers witnessed didn’t encompass the entire picture of who he truly is.
He clarified that while the edit reflects changes made for broadcast, it doesn’t always align with the truth. He acknowledged that he saw what was depicted on screen, but crucial aspects such as the underlying causes of specific situations, particularly those concerning Awhina’s son and our daily lives, were left out. This omission was aggravating to him.
From the beginning, Adrian and Awhina encountered several hurdles, with the main ones being their residence in separate states and Awhina’s role as a parent.
The groom confessed that he explicitly requested not to be paired with someone who already had a child prior to the shooting – however, upon meeting Awhina, he decided to set aside his concerns and move forward.

‘I asked for someone open-minded. Who would I be if I wasn’t open-minded in that moment?’ he said.
‘It wasn’t what I wanted, but I chose to stay and give it a shot.’
Regardless of the bumpy beginning, Adrian acknowledged that his emotions towards Awhina were “indeed growing,” and the duo established a profound relationship beyond the camera’s gaze. In fact, they once vanished for a weekend, spending quality time with another cast member named Tony in Shellharbour, away from filming activities.
He confessed that we hadn’t planned to, but in the end, we booked an Airbnb and spent three days together following our last dinner gathering. That’s why our final vows concluded as they did – because we recognized that what we shared was genuine.
Addressing accusations that he stayed on the show for clout or airtime, Adrian didn’t hold back.
‘It’s just like being trapped in a room with someone you dislike all day long. You would definitely want to get out. A clear illustration of this is Billy and Sierah – they had had enough.’
If you plan to criticize me, I’ll provide you with reasons for it. However, please remember that the person you see in a show isn’t entirely representative of my true self.
In an attempt to deal with the criticism, he would frequently resort to a defensive stance when interacting online, as a means of handling his difficulties in formulating a suitable response.

As a devoted follower, I can’t help but reflect on my own actions during the filming process, realizing now that I should have been more attuned to myself. Particularly in instances where Awhina appeared visibly distressed, I wish I had been more self-aware and sensitive to her emotions.
Reflecting on it now, he admitted, “Wow, I didn’t notice that then. My defenses were high, preoccupied with my own thoughts and self-interest.” He acknowledged, “I could have acted more wisely.
Despite everything, Adrian insists he has no regrets.
In a straightforward manner, he expressed, ‘It may seem corny, but I have no regrets, as I see every experience as an opportunity for personal growth.’
In a straightforward manner, the individual identified as the “star” of Married at First Sight season 12 similarly expresses his wish that viewers are gradually catching a glimpse of his authentic self.
‘He acknowledged that he isn’t flawless and never has been, nor will he ever be. Yet, what you see now is an authentic representation of who I am. I hope this journey toward self-improvement could set a new standard for redemption on Married at First Sight.’
Before taking his final vows, Adrian tantalizingly revealed something unprecedented, suggesting that for him and Awhina, their story may not reach its conclusion quite so soon.
