MAFS Couple SHOCK Fans With Relationship Update!

Among all the couples, it’s Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels who emerged as an unexpected pairing – they were the unforeseen hit of the Married At First Sight season in 2025.

On Tuesday, the pair shared an honest and authentic update about their relationship status with followers on Instagram, which is almost a year since they exchanged vows live on TV.

In a series of loved-up photos, the pair looked closer than ever.

Instantly, Jeff and Rhi cuddled together comfortably on a sofa to capture a warm selfie; Jeff donned a white hat and black t-shirt, whereas Rhi opted for a laid-back style with a brown blouse and subtle makeup, her long dark hair styled in a simple yet elegant way.

Once more, they were playfully photographed within a vehicle. Rhiannon sat confidently at the wheel, donning a stylish, sleeveless cream ensemble and chic black sunglasses that perfectly complemented her look.

Meanwhile Jeff sipped from a brown bottle, flashing his silver watch and sporting retro frames.

In a third image, the couple playfully displayed their quirky nature by snuggling up in bed, adorning their noses with nasal strips and making silly faces for the camera. This picture exuded a harmony unique to deeply connected couples.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the couple confirmed they are still going strong.

Last year on the 25th of July, we tied the knot, and now that July is approaching again, Rhi shared, it’s hard to believe that it will mark our first wedding anniversary.

Jeff added, “Absolutely, we’re on cloud nine. Incredibly hard to accept that everything is wrapped up. Honestly, it feels a tad melancholic.

At our reunion dinner party, I must admit, there was no trace of nerves in me. Instead, I found myself amused by watching the other participants share their thoughts and experiences.

Rhi commented, “Since we already knew about the Jacqui and Clint predicament, their situation didn’t catch us off guard.” Then, she chuckled as she added, “In fact, I even shared the news myself.

In the reunion show, there was a significant event between the couple when Jeff expressed his love for Rhi publicly for the very first time, captured by the cameras.

‘It was genuine,’ Rhi said. ‘That was the first time that we had said, ‘I love you.’

Additionally, Jeff discussed the reason he chose to support his co-star Carina when she had a heated argument with groom Paul Antoine.

In the course of this investigation, I consistently maintained my stance. Granted, not all instances may have been evident, but whenever I encountered actions or findings that didn’t align with my beliefs, I didn’t hesitate to voice my concerns.

The couple have been rumoured to appear on The Block, but say nothing is confirmed – yet.

Rhi mentioned that there’s been a lot of talk lately about us possibly participating in The Block. This morning, everyone seems to be asking if it’s true. Frankly, we haven’t the slightest clue, but we sure do hope it is!

At the moment, they’re concentrating on savoring life and figuring out their future course – which might involve living together.

Inquired about an unusual fact they discovered about each other, Jeff humorously commented, “Rhi has a bit of a geeky side.

Speaking openly, Rhi shared that our sexual relationship was fantastic when we first got together about a year and a half back.

That was never the issue. I think timing was the issue… but no, this time around, it’s better.’

The pair expressed their pride in being among the authentic triumphs of the study, and they offered guidance for potential future participants.

‘Be yourself from the get-go. Don’t be afraid to be your most authentic, genuine self,’ Rhi said.

Jeff said, ‘It won’t work pretending to be someone else, that’s why you were chosen for the show,'” or simply, “He stated, ‘You can’t fake being someone, that’s what made you suitable for the show.’

Jeff stated that he likely wouldn’t make a proposal in a public setting filled with strangers.

I prefer to carry it out in the company of a few dear friends and relatives. It would feel genuinely heartfelt and make for a unique, memorable occasion.

Looks like MAFS may have actually found its fairytale ending after all.
