On the latest episode of “Married At First Sight”, tensions peaked as Morena Farina openly challenged Ryan Donnelly for his thoughtless remarks regarding his wife, Jacqui Burfoot, causing a heated discussion.

The disagreement took place during a dinner gathering, where the event host and wedding emcee (age 57), expressed strong opinions towards a contentious colleague, following his inappropriate comment about another guest saying “Jacqui has peculiar eyes… yet she provides quality performance.

Morena started pounding on the table and shouting for Ryan, trying to draw his focus, before openly reprimanding him in front of others.

Morena started by saying, “If Ryan, who happens to be a 57-year-old woman, is in a room full of young men and speaks about Jacqui as if she ‘gives great oral sex’… Is he being funny?

Afterward, she scolded Ryan for his disrespectful comments towards women and emphasized that he should avoid such speech in the future.

She interjected, “I’m not done yet! Please refrain from making those remarks about women. They are inappropriate and unacceptable.

Yet, Jacqui supported her spouse and stated that Ryan’s comments were “flattering” and conceded she indeed had an “unusual gaze.

Additionally, elsewhere, the series’ character Dave Hand, aged 36, similarly criticized Ryan for making inappropriate comments about Dave’s spouse. Trying to dismiss it as just a ‘joke’ was also met with criticism by Dave.

Dave angrily expressed his disapproval, stating that the manner in which he spoke wasn’t a harmless joke but rather mockery towards the woman. He emphasized that such language is unacceptable and should not be used by anyone.

“I was really disappointed that he failed to realize his actions were inappropriate. Speaking negatively about one’s spouse, especially behind their back, is unacceptable. I found it offensive and feel strongly that we should all respect each other’s partners by not talking about them in such a disrespectful manner.

Dave directly questioned Ryan, saying, “Were you thinking you should’ve mentioned that… a simple yes or no? It made things awkward for me and everyone present.

Ryan dodged the question by snapping back with: ‘You’re not making any sense!’ 

Dave retorted, “It’s clear that if you can’t grasp why speaking about women in such a manner is inappropriate, then perhaps your understanding needs improvement.

Initially, I found myself inquiring about the cause of the strain between Morena and her spouse Tony Mojanovski, a role that unexpectedly shifted to me when Paul Antoine posed this question during our conversation.

Paul started by saying, “Morena, I have some questions since you seem to provide advice on love and relationships. Could you share a bit about your personal relationship experiences?

Paul asked her, “I’m curious about what’s happening between you and Tony, as I overheard some noise coming from the hallway that sounded like you were shouting.

Surprisingly, I found myself admitting to my close companions that I hadn’t been spending my weekends with my wife due to her assertive personality making me feel somewhat overwhelmed.

Or in a more conversational tone:

I was taken aback when I confessed to my friends that I hadn’t been spending my weekends with my wife because her outspoken nature tends to intimidate me. It’s not something I’m proud of, but it’s the truth.

Occasionally, I feel like Morena talks extremely loudly, and it makes me uneasy to converse with you, as I fear you might talk over me. I’m trying my best, but I’m anxious that I may unintentionally upset you. – Tony expressed this sentiment.

Each morning, I’ve been making it a point to prepare coffee for you. It’s my little act of expressing love and creating a pleasant start to your day, Tony explained.

I’m doing my best to express myself, but it seems like you always cut me off. This makes me feel hesitant to speak up around you. I go out of my way to treat you well—buying you coffee, taking you out for dinner—yet you still don’t seem satisfied.

Relationship consultant Mel Schilling noted that Morena’s communication style was quite intense, suggesting a need for adjustment in this area if she wanted her relationship with Tony to succeed.

According to Mel, Morena’s communication approach tends to be assertive and quite forceful, with a sharp edge. She stands firm and doesn’t usually yield her stance.

‘She just keeps yelling!’ fellow expert John Aiken added.
