Carina Mirabile, who was a bride on Married At First Sight, has shared her experiences with life after the show. She’s talked about how appearing on the popular Channel Nine dating show earlier this year has changed things for her, both good and bad.
The Perth native shared with Daily Mail that while the experience opened doors to exciting new opportunities, it also presented some unexpected difficulties and taught her the importance of bouncing back.
‘Life has changed in the best way possible,’ Carina shared.
This show has opened doors to incredible opportunities I never imagined, and I honestly didn’t realize what I was signing up for.
She explained that she wasn’t focused on the future because she was completely consumed with dealing with the immediate challenges of a quickly evolving marriage, building a connection with her partner, and managing the constant demands of weekly life.
After the show, I made the move to Sydney and really focused on creating a career that feels genuinely me. It’s been all about building something authentic and fulfilling, and putting my energy into work I truly believe in.

She explained that balancing new friendships with all the relationship issues that arose from filming Married at First Sight felt natural for her.
Okay, so before Married at First Sight, I was already super into fashion and making content – it was my passion! But honestly, being on the show opened up SO many doors. Now I get to work with brands and people I’ve always looked up to, which is a dream come true. I’ve really been building a career that feels… me, and looking back at where I started when I first filmed, I’m seriously so proud of how far I’ve come. It feels amazing!
Carina, who got married on a reality TV show to Paul Antonine, said adjusting to life in the public eye was challenging, particularly because she often had to handle the attention on her own.
She admitted that the hardest part was likely managing everything while doing it all by herself.
I genuinely hoped for that classic fairytale romance, to share this whole journey – especially the exciting stuff after filming – with my partner. I pictured us exploring everything new together, meeting fans as a couple, and continuing our close friendship even after the cameras stopped rolling. Sadly, things didn’t work out that way for me.
She also mentioned that figuring out how to be herself and not just the character she played was another challenge she faced.
She also talked about learning to disconnect her public image on TV from her personal life, and staying balanced despite all the attention.
Even though things have been tough, the woman said she’s been incredibly touched by the ongoing support from her fans.

‘The biggest surprise has been the amount of support I still receive; it’s honestly so heartwarming to know people connected with me beyond the show,’ she said.
I’ve truly enjoyed listening to the personal stories and experiences viewers have shared. Connecting with people and getting to know them is something I really value, and this has been a wonderful opportunity.
Carina thinks staying true to herself and remaining down-to-earth allowed her to turn a brief appearance on television into a more meaningful and enduring experience.
‘I was my true authentic self throughout the whole filming of the show!’ she said.
In a quick-moving, demanding filming environment with long days, it’s difficult to pretend to be someone you’re not. People’s true personalities inevitably come through, no matter how much they try to maintain a perfect on-camera persona.
I was raised to treat everyone with respect, and I always have – whether it’s fellow actors, the producers, or the crew. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people and hearing their life experiences.
After the show ended, Carina used her skills in communications, fashion, and media to build a career for herself.
She shared that by being reliable, acting professionally, and remaining authentic, she’s been able to build strong relationships with people in her community.

I’ve been able to keep connecting with everyone and share what’s been going on in my life, and what I think about things, even after the show ended, all thanks to staying active on social media. It’s been a great way to stay connected!
When asked if Married at First Sight is too damaging for contestants to continue their careers, Carina explained that it really depends on each person’s outlook.
‘I think it depends on how you handle it. But in short answer – no,’ she explained.
Even though there’s a lot of it, reality TV can be a really intense experience. Ultimately, your success depends on you. If you’re genuine, have supportive people around you, and keep your goals beyond just being famous in mind, you can actually build something meaningful from it.
As for what advice she’d give to next year’s brides and grooms, Carina didn’t hold back.
She advised me to focus on improving my mental and physical health before this big change happens, saying it would be really beneficial.
Remember who you are and stay humble, no matter what. The trick is to use any success you have to keep moving forward.
Life moves quickly, so cherish every moment and take lots of pictures – of your love story, your marriage, and the friendships you build along the way. Enjoy the adventure!
She also reminded everyone to keep creating TikToks and fun videos, because she loves looking back at old memories – especially the video Dave took of the cast playing a prank on them!
Since appearing on Married at First Sight, Carina has built a strong online following, partnered with popular Australian brands, and motivated people to pursue their goals.
