Married At First Sight 2026 is spiralling into chaos.
Sources say producers are struggling to control the drama on the show, as this year’s cast is causing major conflicts, backstabbing, and people leaving the production. It’s creating a lot of instability.
The Daily Mail reported that show producers had started testing participants for drugs each week and imposed curfews, hoping to control their behavior.
Honestly, it’s amazing! They’re trying to control everything, but next year’s couples? They’re *rebelling*! I’m hearing about these incredible, show-stopping exits planned, they’re totally ignoring the rules, and get this – some of them have already hired their OWN publicists! It’s like they’re determined to do things their way, and I am *living* for it.
Gia vs Bec – from brunch buddies to bitter enemies
The main source of the drama is a deeply hostile rivalry between Gia Fleur and Rebecca Zacharia, who were once close friends. Their conflict is so intense, the show’s producers are having trouble filming them together.

According to a source close to the production, the atmosphere shifted instantly from friendly and celebratory to tense and hostile.
The drama began on the very first episode when Bec was caught on camera making cruel comments about Gia. She reportedly called Gia a vulgar name to the other brides while still being friendly to her face, and then continued to criticize her when filming began.
‘It was the two-facedness of it that lit the fuse,’ says an insider.
‘By the time cameras rolled for their first big group event, the tension was humming.
They would reconcile for a short time, but their peace never held. Just when things seemed better, another lie or act of betrayal would surface.
The conflict between Gia and Bec escalated when Gia reportedly revealed that Bec had been telling different stories to different people on set, creating a tense situation in front of the rest of the cast.
According to one source, the situation quickly escalated with people displaying evidence – receipts and screenshots – in a harsh and confrontational way.
‘Private messages, gossip, all of it was dragged into the open.’

Bec is now trying to minimize the conflict, telling people Gia caused the problem by stirring up drama and telling untruths. Meanwhile, Gia feels Bec went too far and damaged their relationship beyond repair.
According to a source, the relationship has quickly deteriorated from affectionate moments and fun outings to frequent arguments and coldness.
‘It’s genuinely toxic — producers are rubbing their hands together because it’s TV gold.’
According to a source, Bec is blaming Gia for everything, while Gia claims Bec is revealing her real, unpleasant personality. It’s a really nasty situation.
Brook vs Stella – claws out over cocktails
Producers are predicting that Brook Crompton will be the most captivating bride on the upcoming season.
This Gold Coast resident works as a model and helps find new talent, and she’s already gained a following of over 5,000 people.
A close friend describes Brook as someone who’s fun and outgoing, but also incredibly supportive. They say she’s fiercely loyal to her friends, but won’t hesitate to confront anyone behaving badly.
Stella, a small but incredibly skilled eyelash and brow artist named Aiste Mickunaite, unexpectedly and harshly criticized Brook during a lunch with friends in Sydney, really putting her confidence to the test.

According to one witness, Stella told Brook she seemed distant and insincere, and she said it publicly.
‘You could have heard a pin drop.’
Stella is famous for inspiring people through her work, but those who know her well say she’s actually quite assertive and doesn’t let people take advantage of her when she’s not working.
According to a source, she’s a kind person with a surprising adventurous streak – she loves the excitement of riding motorcycles. People often misjudge her because of her small stature, but she’s actually incredibly resilient and strong.
For Brook, the ambush struck a nerve.
‘She didn’t clap back in the moment, but everyone could see her jaw clench,’ says the insider. ‘She waited until the next dinner party and then unleashed.’
Sources on set say Brook directly confronted Stella, calling her remarks harmful and accusing her of causing drama.
‘She’s not here to settle for less – not in love and not in friendship,’ another insider spilled.

‘Viewers will see a bride who stands tall, even when the knives are out.’
Show creators think the competition between Brook and Stella has the potential to be a major focus for viewers this season.
The villain groom who makes Harrison look tame
Viewers believed Harrison Boon was the ultimate villain on Married At First Sight, but they haven’t met this season’s most talked-about groom yet.
According to insiders, this bloke doesn’t just push boundaries – he bulldozes right through them.
‘This guy is on another level,’ one well-placed source confessed.
Let me tell you, this guy was incredibly bold and didn’t hold back *at all*. Honestly, some of his comments were so shocking, even the show’s producers had to intervene and stop him. It was a bit of a moment, to say the least!
Right from the start of the experiment, the man made it clear he was looking for a wife who would be obedient and accept his dominant personality.
The groom immediately made a bad impression on the brides, with one guest supposedly calling him a major warning sign even before the main course arrived at the wedding reception.

Friends of the groom say he’s anticipating being portrayed negatively in the wedding footage. “He definitely has some firm opinions,” a source shared.
The shocking ex-lover scandal
A shocking accusation has surfaced: another bride is rumored to have secretly returned home during filming and cheated on her partner. This revelation is expected to cause major drama at an upcoming dinner party.
‘It’s the ultimate betrayal of the experiment,’ a well-placed source tells Daily Mail.
‘If it is true, it’ll blow the show wide open.’
The rumor is spreading quickly through the group and has already damaged several friendships.
‘No one knows who to trust,’ an insider said.
‘Loyalties flip by the hour.’

Mass walk-outs – and production on the back foot
The fireworks aren’t confined to the dinner table.
The Daily Mail has learned that quitting the show is becoming common, with several couples leaving before the end of the experiment.
‘Whole filming days have been nuked because cast vanished,’ one exasperated insider said.
‘They’re not following the playbook – they’re writing their own.’
Even with weekly drug tests and curfews in place, the clampdown just isn’t working.
‘This group is the most unruly we’ve had in years. It’s carnage,’ another crew member admitted.
Married At First Sight returns to Channel Nine in 2026.
