After a challenging beginning to their married life, Katie Johnstone (a participant from Married at First Sight) has shared her thoughts following the show’s conclusion.

Katie was cruelly turned down by groom Tim Gromie, who expressed a preference for being paired with a short, blond woman instead.

Six months after wrapping up her reality show, Katie has been engrossed in personal development efforts focused on empowerment.

37-year-old individual recently underwent an awe-inspiring photoshoot at Studio Republic, where they radiated an undeniable bridal glow.

After the meeting, the studio posted a video online featuring Katie talking about her life following Married At First Sight.

In a revealing comment, Katie mentioned in the video that her primary focus right now is on being her own life partner.

‘The only person that I want to manifest love for is myself right now,’ she said.

‘I feel like if your cup’s full, then it can overflow you.’

Katie added that post-MAFS she has been working on feeling comfortable in her own skin.   

As a lifestyle advocate, I can genuinely say that my personal journey has been one of self-discovery. It’s taken years to truly embrace myself and feel comfortable in my own skin. This experience serves as a powerful reminder of the progress I’ve made.

‘We only have one life and one physical form, and I aspire to live it radiantly at this very moment.’

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Katie is flourishing in a truly remarkable state. This vibrant phase in her life is all about cherishing herself above all else, setting the foundation for her well-being and happiness.

She expressed, “I strive to give my best in every aspect. Actions such as these tend to bring out the full potential in someone.

In summary, I’m quite pleased with how things are. I appreciate my figure, from my curves to my stretch marks, even the areas that droop or seem uneven. I love them all, the parts I find attractive and the ones that might not be considered ideal.

During the episode on Thursday evening, Tim Groom, who has been embroiled in controversy, made another questionable comment that seemed to target Katie and caused upset among viewers.

Tim’s casual remark sparked a frenzy on social media, prompting some enthusiasts to demand that he should be prohibited from appearing on the program.

In a somewhat uncomfortable moment, Katie sought to inject some positivity into their relationship, voicing her aspiration that they might construct something valuable together.

‘What would be your number one thing you want to do today?’ Tim asked his bride.

To which she cheekily joked: ‘Should we strip off nude and run around the forest?’

However, Tim’s response was anything but encouraging.

He joked by saying, “You take care of it, I’ll simply raise the shades,” which some viewers found to be sarcastic and patronizing in its delivery.

The moment quickly went viral, with fans taking to X to slam Tim’s behaviour.

The fan was extremely angry, saying: ‘Doing it yourself while he just stands there is infuriating. What on earth is wrong with him?’

Another added, ‘What a p**k of a thing to say to her about the blinds.’

The backlash didn’t stop there, with viewers criticising both his attitude and overall appearance.

As a lifestyle advisor, I’d rephrase that comment as follows: “Individual X appears to be in need of some fashion and grooming tips, based on their current attire and unkempt nails. The hat and casual singlet might not be the most flattering choices, and a more polished look could potentially enhance their overall appearance.
