MAFS bride Gia Fleur’s best friend Will breaks silence on explosive hens night clash and claims Bec Zacharia DID call her a ‘trashy s**t’

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz around ‘Married At First Sight,’ and things are definitely heating up! I’m hearing from Gia Fleur’s best friend and her man of honour, Will, who’s finally sharing what really happened at the hens night. Apparently, there was a lot of drama that no one saw on TV, and it sparked rumors of a major falling out between Gia and fellow bride Bec Zacharia. He’s giving us the inside scoop on what caused all the tension!

Will told the Daily Mail that the argument wasn’t planned for TV and that Gia was upset and crying after he claims she was called a very offensive name during the heated exchange.

Will, a friend of Gia’s for over twelve years, described their relationship as a strong and passionate friendship built on unwavering loyalty and a willingness to always be honest with each other.

‘We fight, we yell, we swear and then two minutes later we’re fine,’ he said.

‘That’s a real friendship.’

I was totally floored when Gia said she was doing Married At First Sight! It was so weird finding out. I remember this crazy Zoom call, and honestly, it just ended with me realizing my best friend was about to marry some guy she’d never met on TV. I couldn’t believe it! It was such a shock.

‘I thought it was a business meeting,’ Will laughed.

She suddenly announced she was getting married, and I immediately asked who she was marrying. She replied that she didn’t even know! That’s when I understood what was happening.

Oh my gosh, when Gia asked Will to be her man of honour, I nearly fainted! He said it was…intense. Like, all the feels were happening, and there were cameras everywhere, plus, you know, wedding morning nerves and a little bit of bubbly to calm everyone down. He was so honored, but definitely felt the pressure!

‘I was hyped. She was panicking,’ he said.

She was starting a new life, leaving her daughter and marrying someone she barely knew, all without even having her phone. We were on totally different wavelengths and couldn’t really connect.

He rejected claims their heated argument before the ceremony was fake or orchestrated.

‘I’m not a paid actor. This wasn’t planned,’ he said.

‘We’re Maltese and Italian. We’re feisty. There’s a lot you didn’t see.’

According to Will, the real drama unfolded later that night when Gia rang him in tears.

He told me she called him around 2 a.m., sobbing, and said someone from Adelaide had called her a terrible name – a ‘trashy slut,’ as he recalled.

Will said Bec made the comment, which quickly caused upset and fears that Gia would be seen as the bad guy this season.

He immediately felt frustrated, thinking, ‘This is exactly how they’re going to depict her,’ he explained.

As a big follower of Bec, I was shocked to hear this claim because it completely goes against what she’s said herself. She’s been very clear that she never said that phrase, and she rightly pointed out that if she had, it definitely would have been included in the broadcast. It just doesn’t add up!

Despite the clash, Will said tension between the two women was inevitable.

‘Bec came in hard. There was a lot said at that hens party that wasn’t shown,’ he claimed.

‘Gia was always going to clash with someone.’

He described Gia as outspoken rather than malicious.

‘She calls out bullshit. That’s who she is,’ Will said. ‘

She’s not trying to hurt anyone, but she’s not going to sit quietly either.’

I was really fascinated to hear Will talk about some of the tougher moments he’s faced on camera. He specifically mentioned the wedding episode, and how he pushed Scott a bit with his questions – even asking about whether he had kids. It was interesting to get his perspective on those scenes, which a lot of viewers, myself included, found pretty intense.

‘I was three champagnes deep and grilling him like a job interview,’ he admitted.

‘That’s the only bit they showed and I was mortified watching it back.’

You know, even with all the behind-the-scenes craziness, the wedding actually felt really real. Will told me it was genuinely touching – the vows were so emotional, and the connection between Gia and Scott was instant. It was like everyone completely forgot they were even on a TV show, they were just caught up in the moment and the love between the couple.

‘It felt real. We were sitting there thinking this is too good to be true,’ he said.

He rejected the idea that Gia is pretending to be a villain for the show, saying her portrayal is designed to provoke anger from viewers.

‘I don’t see her as a villain. She’s just confident and people find that threatening,’ he said.
