Gia Fleur, from Married At First Sight, was recently spotted on a romantic date in Melbourne with her new boyfriend, Alan Wallace, following the confirmation of their relationship.
Oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to hear she was spotted on Southbank back in January! Apparently, she was with him – her new boyfriend! – and they looked so cute together. They had dinner with friends, and then they walked off together, all cozy and affectionate. I was practically glued to the photos – seriously, they were adorable! It just makes me so happy to see her looking this good!
This is the first time the couple has been seen together in public since the Daily Mail reported their relationship. Their romance developed after Gia’s difficult marriage to Scott McCristal started to fall apart.
Gia was ready for a night out and looked stunning in her outfit: a low-cut white top and a long, flowing orange skirt that almost touched the ground.
She finished her outfit with a large beige blazer, white strappy heels, and a small, stylish shoulder bag.
She had long, wavy blonde hair and refreshed her makeup while talking with friends on the sidewalk.
Alan, 35, dressed casually in a black T-shirt, slim blue jeans, and white sneakers. He walked alongside Gia, revealing his arm tattoos.
They were spotted leaving the restaurant with their friends, laughing and embracing each other.
But the couple later split from the rest of their friends and continued the night alone.
People spotted Alan carrying Gia’s purse while they were walking together, and they then drove off in a car.
Gia recently revealed to the Daily Mail that she and Alan had begun a relationship while she was still appearing married on TV. This intimate outing follows that confirmation.
Viewers have been following a bride from Melbourne as she tries to fix her relationship with Scott on the Channel Nine reality show.
But off camera, her love life had already taken a very different turn.
Gia honestly admitted her marriage was failing and she could no longer pretend everything was okay.
It’s been difficult adjusting to the new relationship, which is why I haven’t appeared on any talk shows or done much publicity. I couldn’t keep up the pretense of being with Scott when my feelings for Alan are so strong, she explained.
I don’t like pretending or being dishonest, and I don’t want to hurt Alan’s feelings, so we’re choosing to concentrate on building a genuine connection in our lives.
Gia shared that she and the other person started talking near the end of filming, and then officially met at a party in Sydney in December.
‘The relationship began officially around New Year’s Eve, but we were talking for a couple of months off and on before then,’ she explained.
Their initial connection was immediate.
She admitted that she was instantly attracted to Alan, realizing she liked him when she found herself feeling jealous watching him talk to another woman.
I spent most of the day watching him, hoping to see him kiss someone. As soon as I saw him, I knew he was the one for me – he just hadn’t realized it yet.
Gia explained that although they had an instant connection, their relationship really grew once they started spending time together outside of the show’s cameras.
I was attracted to him because he was emotionally intelligent and thoughtful – everything I’d hoped for, according to the advice I’d received.
Considering our attachment styles, what we both desired in a relationship, and how well we fit together, it was clear this connection went beyond just physical attraction – it was true compatibility.
The relationship quickly intensified once Gia returned to Melbourne.
She realized it was becoming serious when she returned to Melbourne and found herself wanting to be with him constantly, which she acted on.
I felt a longing for him even when we were together, and we were both completely consumed by each other. I desired that same intense focus in return, and thankfully, we shared that mutual connection.
Alan said he started out being careful with the situation, having seen how much stress the Married at First Sight experience caused people.
‘Coming off a f**king experience like that I knew it would be very confronting,’ he said.
I didn’t know if she was emotionally prepared, or even interested in starting a serious relationship so quickly.
But he soon realised Gia was serious about him.
I was definitely interested in her, but what I noticed most was how much effort she was making.
Even though I didn’t initially seem interested, she was already curious about me, asking friends what I was up to.
Alan explained that their relationship deepened when they stopped talking about TV shows and started sharing more about their own lives.
He explained that things began to shift in their relationship after he gently told her he didn’t want to always discuss ‘Married at First Sight’ and other reality shows.
We started talking more seriously about life goals and our perspectives, and I discovered we share a lot of the same beliefs and see the world in a similar way.
‘That’s when I started to see there was something more there than just attraction.’
Even though they’re becoming more serious, the couple has mostly kept their relationship to themselves while Gia’s story is still being shown on television.
Alan admitted he chose not to watch most of the episodes.
He said he began watching an episode featuring her, but quickly decided he didn’t want to continue.
I didn’t want to see her with someone else and get upset, because I’m a sensitive person and it would really bother me.
Instead, the pair focused on building their relationship quietly behind closed doors.
He explained they were careful not to disrupt the plot or upset her while she was on the show.
‘Up until recently we’ve mostly just been spending time together at home and laying low.’
The Melbourne date night captured in the photos also marked a milestone for the couple.
‘Last night was the first time we’ve actually been out on a date together,’ Alan revealed.
Before that, we were relaxing and waiting for filming to finish.
Now, he says their relationship has become extremely serious.
‘It’s very serious now,’ he said.
‘I’ve asked her to be my girlfriend and we’re officially together.’
‘She’s moving in and things are progressing in the right way.’
‘It’s definitely not a showmance. It’s a real relationship.’
Gia also lifted the lid on the moment she realised her marriage to Scott could not be saved.
She explained that she realized she no longer had feelings for Scott after their last dinner together, when he was incredibly rude to her.
I gave it one final shot, but it became clear he wasn’t genuinely interested in me – he just liked the attention and communication.
She added that their relationship issues went far deeper than viewers realised.
She said he disrespected her by flirting with other women and past relationships, and by taking pictures with his exes.
‘I rarely felt complimented or reassured and I never really felt secure.’
‘I felt used.’
