Mafia: The Old Country Trailer Offers a First Good Look at the Prequel Crime Saga With Summer 2025 Release Window
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for immersive storytelling and gritty crime dramas, I can’t help but feel a surge of anticipation upon witnessing the tantalizing glimpse into Mafia: The Old Country. Having traversed the criminal underworld in various games, I must admit, the allure of Sicily’s brutal gangster life in the 1900s is undeniably intriguing.
2K Studios, together with developer Hangar 13, have unveiled an enthralling cinematic trailer for the upcoming game titled “Mafia: The Old Country“. This game is set to debut during summer 2025, offering a gripping origin story immersed in the ruthless criminal underworld of Sicily in the early 1900s.
As a budding mobster, I’ll step into the boots of Enzo in “The Old Country,” where I’ll embark on a fresh Mafia journey rooted deep in the history of organized crime. This linear narrative will immerse me in a time when mastering a stiletto knife and a sawed-off shotgun was as essential as breathing.
In this game, you’ll experience intense battles and risky stealth missions involving firearms, traverse various terrains on foot, horseback, or in an early-20th-century automobile. Enzo, who was once bound to labor in Sicily’s brutal sulfur mines as a child, is presented with the chance to join Don Torrisi’s crime family. With the hope of improving his life, he’ll do whatever it takes.
In the summer of 2025, the game titled “Mafia: The Old Country” will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. From what we’ve seen so far, it certainly looks impressive!
