Machine Gun Kelly sings tribute to Megan Fox at concert amid claim they’re ‘closer than ever’ after split

During the first show of his 67-city world tour in Phoenix on Tuesday, Machine Gun Kelly publicly acknowledged Megan Fox, the mother of his child, twice during the concert.

The Grammy-nominated singer, age 35, performed his song “Orpheus” while standing on the hand of a Statue of Liberty prop and smoking a cigarette. The song was co-written with the 39-year-old actress, known for her role in “Overcompensating,” and appears on his seventh album.

According to the Phoenix New Times, Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker) performed a song about the difficulties of maintaining a relationship, which they described as his way of acknowledging his ex without directly naming her.

Readers of Fox’s 2023 book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, may remember her poem ‘Prove It, Orpheus,’ which included these powerful lines: ‘When asked about your greatest love, don’t just mention my name—shout it. And when asked about your biggest regret, don’t express it in a song, but reveal it with raw, visceral honesty.’

The couple, known for their on-again, off-again relationship, were last seen together at an airport in Liberia on July 22nd. They tragically lost their first daughter in 2022, at 10 weeks and one day of pregnancy, and this loss deeply influenced Orpheus.

MGK admitted to writing the song on his own, though he did borrow some lines from love letters he’d received, he told Travis Mills of Apple Music on September 10th.

My partner and I used to write notes to each other in a book throughout our relationship. I hadn’t looked at it in ages, but recently I opened it and reread everything. I actually took a few of her phrases and included them in a song – so in a way, she co-wrote it!

That’s why it credits both of us as writers. She’s an incredibly talented lyricist, honestly. I actually cried while working on that song – it was really emotional. I think it was because re-reading such a heartfelt and dramatic love story really got to me, with all its highs and lows.

The opening line of the song ‘Orpheus’ – ‘We grew a tree back in the garden with the celestial seed that fell down to us from the stars’ – was inspired by a deeply personal experience. The artist revealed it came after a miscarriage and the discovery of a strange, large seed in their house that same night.

‘There’s no way the seed could have got there,’ MGK marveled.

It was a truly incredible and mysterious moment. We researched the seed – I’ve forgotten the exact type now – but its meaning and the fact that it came from a tree not native to California are still baffling. I kept the seed as a reminder. The song felt incredibly profound and layered with meaning.

The artist, originally from Houston and raised in Cleveland, explained that his songwriting on ‘Lost Americana’ was a significant improvement because it honestly reflected his current life. He’s been sober for ‘two or three years’ – he isn’t quite sure of the exact timeframe – and feels he can now write with greater clarity.

Another key moment at the Desert Diamond Arena came when MGK played audio from the “Lonely Road” video featuring a woman, during the song “Banyan Tree (Interlude).” Notably, he sang the lyrics as ‘she loved a boy so much’ instead of ‘she loves a boy so much,’ a subtle but telling change.

The couple, who nicknamed himself the ‘Blonde Don’, first met in 2020 while filming the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass in Puerto Rico. They were engaged from January 2022 to March 2023.

According to Us Weekly, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox plan to spend the holidays with their seven-month-old daughter, Saga. Sources say their daughter is their main focus and has strengthened their relationship.

According to a source, the couple is doing much better now than they were half a year ago, and Megan feels that having their baby has brought her a sense of calm and helped her heal.

Oh my gosh, you guys, they’re together again! I can’t believe it, but Megan and Machine Gun Kelly are officially back on, and it seems like everything’s totally okay between them. All that drama? Apparently, it’s just…gone! I’m so happy for them, it’s like they never even had a rough patch!

Another source said Fox will only consider giving the man, who is accused of being unfaithful, another opportunity if he actively works to earn back their trust.

During his demanding tour, Machine Gun Kelly scheduled time off from November 26th to 28th for Thanksgiving and from December 20th to February 14th for the Christmas and Valentine’s Day holidays.

I’ve been following Machine Gun Kelly for a while now, and it’s always amazed me how young he was when he became a dad. He was just 19 when his daughter, Casie Colson Baker, was born to his ex, Emma Cannon. It’s incredible to think about!

Megan Fox has three sons – Noah, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9 – with her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green. The couple was married for nine years and finalized their divorce in 2022, though they separated in 2019.

I’m so excited to see Machine Gun Kelly this Thursday at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California! And I’m really looking forward to checking out Julia Wolf, who’s opening for him – she seems amazing!

Singer Cliché, who has 16.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, got a major boost on February 26th when music icon Bob Dylan shared a video of him rapping on Instagram.

There’s a possibility Megan Fox will return as Jennifer Check, the succubus teen, in a sequel to the 2009 cult film Jennifer’s Body. The sequel, written by Academy Award-winning Diablo Cody, has been in development for a while, and Amanda Seyfried is hoping it will be called Needy’s Body.
