Mac DeMarco debuted his latest single “Holy,” the second release from his upcoming album Guitar.

The latest track, titled “Holy,” comes after last month’s release “Home,” and finds DeMarco pondering his spirituality. Additionally, “Holy” is accompanied by a self-filmed music video, where the artist spent several hours fully submerged in the ocean, filling his boots with seawater.

He added, “I also attempted some other takes on stones, yet the footage of me tripping in the yard and consuming the apple emerged as the most fitting one. I appreciate your attention.

The album titled Guitar is scheduled for release on August 22. It was penned and produced entirely in November of the previous year at DeMarco’s residence in Los Angeles. Apart from the mastering, which was handled by David Ives, the entire album was self-created by DeMarco. He expressed that Guitar comes as close as he can to reflecting his current life situation on paper. He is excited to share this music and looks forward to performing these tracks at as many venues as possible.
