The tournament run for Team M80 at the Six Invitational has been clouded with disputes, yet they’ve managed to survive and continue their journey in the competition, though now positioned in the lower bracket.

This prestigious event represents the zenith of R6 esports. Yet, following a conflict between DarkZero and M80, Ubisoft has imposed disciplinary measures on certain members within the M80 team.

At the Six Invitational 2025, Ubisoft removed both the M80 team coach and their manager for repeatedly disregarding the rules by engaging with players during periods when such communication was prohibited. This action followed numerous warnings, as reported by various experts in the field.

Despite repeated warnings, Budega persisted in conversing with players. Consequently, during the third offense, they issued a round to DZ and confiscated his headset. Later, following the game, an administrative team was required to intervene physically to prevent Budega from approaching Nafe.

The chief executive of M80 expressed his discontentment through a post, as they felt that the company’s image was misrepresented during its appearances on an international platform.

In the opening round of the Upper Bracket, match number one featured a clash between M80 and DarkZero. The teams engaged in a thrilling series that spanned across three different maps: Skyscraper, Clubhouse, and Bank. Initially, M80 seized control of Skyscraper with an impressive 7-1 victory. However, the following two maps were won by DarkZero, who ultimately clinched the series triumph.

This win positioned DarkZero against FURIA in the Quarterfinals, but unfortunately, they ended up losing 0-2, forcing them into the lower bracket for The Six Invitational tournament.
