Lynx Motors’ GT1 “Eau Rouge” Ford GT Restomod Packs 1,400 HP in a Le Mans-Inspired Build
Lynx Motors has unveiled its latest high-performance creation, the GT1 “Eau Rouge” — a heavily modified Ford GT that blends cutting-edge engineering with endurance racing heritage. Named after the legendary Spa-Francorchamps corner, this track-ready beast pushes the limits with an astonishing 1,400 hp.
At the heart of the Eau Rouge lies a 7L Roush Yates RY45 V8, equipped with Garrett G35 twin turbos, titanium mid-pipes and Del West forged titanium valves. Power is delivered through a Sadev SL 90 six-speed sequential gearbox, ensuring rapid shifts and maximum efficiency on the track. A Bosch Motorsport ABS system, AP Racing calipers and Tilton pedals provide precise stopping power.
Built on an OEM 2005 Ford GT chassis, the car is reinforced with a custom chromoly roll cage, while a full carbon-fiber body sourced from the 2010 Matech Le Mans team gives it an aggressive stance. The aerodynamic package includes dive planes, fender venting, a front splitter and a rear diffuser, all designed to enhance high-speed stability.
The cockpit combines Tillet carbon-fiber seats wrapped in leather, an OMP six-point harness, and modern electronics like Haltech ECU management and dual Aim 10-inch screens. A Formula 1-style steering wheel adds to the racing experience. Riding on Forgeline wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2R AMG1 tires, the Eau Rouge is built for extreme cornering grip. JRI dampers with a front axle lift system ensure the car remains composed under pressure.
Lynx Motors’ GT1 has an estimated starting price of $1,700,000 USD, with customization options like customer-specified livery and paint-to-sample tinted clear coats available.
