Home and Away star Lynne McGranger has revealed a surprising new look.
Fans were surprised by a recent Instagram selfie from the 72-year-old actress, best known for her role as Irene Roberts on the popular soap opera. The photo caused many to do a double take.
The television personality beamed as she debuted her new platinum blonde hair, sharing a sweet message with her followers.
She wished her friends a happy 2026 in the caption and then shared some thoughts about the past year, 2025.
‘Wow! What a year! So many highlights, so many lovely humans along the way.
I’m just overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude lately! Life has been full of incredible moments, and I’m realizing how precious every single one is. I truly don’t want to take anything for granted ever again.
Wishing you all peace, happiness, wisdom, and love in May 2026, along with a little bit of fun and adventure! Sending endless love and gratitude.
It wasn’t long before fans inundated Lynne’s post with well-wishes and compliments.
‘Love the hair – wow – you look stunning (as always) xx,’ wrote one fan.
‘You look gorgeous,’ added another.
Lynne announced she was leaving Home and Away in March 2025.
She’s been thinking for a few years that, since she’s healthy and fit, she’d like to try acting on stage again, as well as some radio work and stand-up comedy, she told The Daily Telegraph.
‘You either leave voluntarily or leave in a box by the time you’re my age,’ she joked.
‘I’m not going to live forever, particularly if I keep doing 14-hour days,’ she continued.
Everyone gets tired and needs sleep. If you don’t sleep well, you’ll definitely feel it the next day. I just don’t recover as quickly as I used to.
While working on the show, Lynne had the opportunity to collaborate with famous actors Margot Robbie and Chris Hemsworth.
She reunited on screen with several other successful actors who, like her, began their careers on the show, such as Samara Weaving, Tammin Sursok, Ryan Kwanten, and Isla Fisher.
