Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal’s new movie confirms UK release date
As a devoted movie enthusiast with a soft spot for animated features, I can hardly contain my excitement over Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal’s upcoming film, “The Wild Robot.” With its UK release date confirmed for October 18th, it promises to be an enchanting addition to this year’s cinematic offerings.
The upcoming film “The Wild Robot,” starring Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal, is set to hit theaters in the UK towards the end of this year.
In this animated tale, we journey through the adventures of a robot named Roz (ROZZUM unit 7134), who winds up stranded on a desolate island after a shipwreck. Roz navigates the challenging environment and forges connections with the local wildlife as time goes by.
I’ve just learned that the movie is set to premiere in UK cinemas on October 18, a little over three weeks following its debut in American theaters. As a gamer, I can hardly wait!
The Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o will provide the voice for the character Roz, and Nicole Pascal, known for ‘The Last of Us’, will voice the fox named Fink.
Additionally, we have Catherine O’Hara from Schitt’s Creek playing opossum Pinktail, Bill Nighy known for his role in Livin’ as goose Longneck, Kit Connor famous for Heartstopper portraying gosling Brightbill, and Stephanie Hsu, who starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once, taking on the character of robot Vontra.
The actors from “Star Wars,” specifically Mark Hamill, as well as Matt Berry known for “What We Do in the Shadows” and Ving Rhames famed for “Mission: Impossible” will also be part of the cast.
The film is titled identically with a book penned by Peter Brown, and it’s helmed by director-writer Chris Sanders, who’s known for “How to Train Your Dragon.”
In recent times, Lupita Nyong’o has found herself quite occupied. She recently took on a role in the prequel film of “A Quiet Place,” titled “Day One.” This movie received widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics when it debuted in June.
Prior to the film’s premiere, the actress shared that collaborating with a cat on set significantly assisted her in conquering her apprehension towards cats.
She shared that she attempted to persuade [director Michael Sarnoski] to alter the animal in the role. However, he firmly insisted, “It has to be a cat.” Since I desired the part, I had to conquer my apprehension towards cats. I underwent cat therapy and they brought cats to my residence for this purpose.
The experience began when there were only two cats introduced to me, allowing them free reign during the initial day. Curiosity piqued, I posed inquiries to the lady who delivered the cats regarding their peculiar behaviors.
The following day, I gently stroked the cat with a single finger and eventually grew accustomed to it, allowing me to hold the cat throughout the movie.
The Wild Robot will be released in UK cinemas on October 18, and US cinemas on September 27.
