Ludwig recently raised more than $100,000 for The Trevor Project after learning about the death of a dedicated fan.
I love seeing streamers use their platforms for good, and charity streams are pretty common on Twitch and YouTube now. But honestly, the best ones are always the spontaneous ones! Like, Ludwig, that really popular YouTuber, recently found out one of his viewers had sadly passed away, and he immediately put together a stream to raise money in their honor. It was such a heartwarming thing to see.
The streamer hosted a special broadcast and encouraged viewers to donate, with all proceeds going to The Trevor Project.
Ludwig hosts charity stream, donating all funds to Trevor Project after learning about a viewer’s passing
Ludwig started his charity stream – which brought in over $100,000 for The Trevor Project – after learning that one of his viewers had died.
I was really heartbroken to find out a long-time viewer recently passed away. She was one of the very first people to start watching my streams, way back when I was only getting around 100 viewers. She was always so active and hilarious in chat, and honestly, she helped me turn what started as a fun hobby into my actual job. She was also a transgender woman, and she told me my community was one of the few places where she felt safe and comfortable being herself.
The streamer announced he’d be doing a charity stream that day, with all proceeds going to the Trevor Project.
Ludwig impressively raised $104,000 for the Trevor Project, especially since he only announced the stream on the day it happened. Most charity streamers promote their events for weeks in advance.
What is the Trevor Project?

Be like Ludwig. Be an ally. You never know who needs it most.
