Lucy Mecklenburgh pokes fun at rumours she’s having an ‘affair’ with fiancé Ryan Thomas’ older brother Scott in hilarious social media skit

On Wednesday, Lucy Mecklenburgh playfully addressed gossip suggesting an affair between her and her husband Ryan Thomas using a humorous video.

Previously known TOWIE celeb, now aged 34, along with her partner Ryan (also 41 years old), posted a clip online showing her embracing her soon-to-be brother-in-law Scott (aged 37) in their home’s hallway.

As they hugged, a title on the video displayed: ‘When your sibling begins to grow wary of the gossip…’

In a humorous turn, Lucy inquires if the ex-Love Island heartthrob has been keeping fit, to which Scott confides that he visits the gym about twice a week.

Earlier Coronation Street actor, Ryan, concealed himself behind a door, appearing as if he were merely a hanging coat. Subsequently, he lowered his legs, unveiling himself in front of them.

As the actor grimly stares at them both, Scott says: ‘I’ll be going then.’

Following some misleading gossip, it was reported that the two might be involved romantically. This came about after Scott mentioned their striking similarities and frequent phone conversations with Lucy.

On his latest podcast episode with Ryan and Adam (age 37), Scott addressed the speculations about him that had been circulating on social media by fans.

During the At Home With The Thomas Bros show, he clarified that their openness towards each other could be interpreted as a strong indication that there was nothing inappropriate or suspicious going on.

‘I’ll be honest I was a bit uncomfortable with it,’ Ryan jokingly replied.

Instead of stating that directly, the father could rephrase it as follows: “I couldn’t be happier about our family bond. However, I do wish for another addition to our brood – perhaps a pet bird?

Scott then joked how he actually had eyes for Adam’s wife Caroline Daly, who he married in 2017.

Recently, it was disclosed that Ryan and Lucy, parents of five-year-old Roman and three-year-old Lilah, have their own separate sleeping quarters.

Lucy explained: ‘Basically we sleep in separate bedrooms because Ryan is a nightmare sleeper.’

She mentioned that during sleep, Ryan snores, talks, and occasionally nudges her, but explained it’s merely an effort to ensure a peaceful slumber. Over time, this has become the norm for her, although there are instances when she sleeps with Roman instead.

Currently, Ryan finds himself having to justify a contentious move – letting his daughter Scarlett forego taking her GCSEs.

16-year-old Scarlett, who was featured on BBC’s Waterloo Road in 2023, recently revealed in a video uploaded to her TikTok account that she didn’t participate in the countrywide examinations.

Today, I find myself observing others as they receive their GCSE results, pondering whether I might have achieved similar success. Yet, the uncertainty remains a constant thought for me.

The video sparked a great deal of debate online, as numerous people expressed disapproval towards the teenager choosing to prioritize her burgeoning acting career over taking the exams and attending school, labeling it as ‘inappropriate.’

He defiantly said: ‘Is it even anyone’s business or concern though?’

The actress openly expresses her desire to carry on the legacy of her well-known parents by venturing into show business, and she’s deeply enthusiastic about both acting and vocal performances.

In England, while many young individuals often take GCSEs, it’s important to note that these exams aren’t compulsory according to the Education Act of 1996. Pupils have the option to opt for alternative certifications or decide to exit formal education at the age of 16.

Her initial television debut took place on the show Waterloo Road, which contributed to the widespread popularity of her uncle, Adam Thomas.
