The new trailer for season 5 of Emily in Paris is out, set to premiere on December 18th, but fans have noticed one familiar face isn’t included.
Lucas Bravo, the actor who plays Gabriel on the Netflix show Emily in Paris, recently talked to E! News about why he wasn’t included in the show’s latest trailer. He said he actually enjoys the mystery surrounding his absence and wants to keep people guessing, so he’s staying tight-lipped about it.
Emily in Paris is a lighthearted romantic comedy on Netflix about Emily (Lily Collins), who moves from the United States to Paris hoping for a fresh start and to find love. The fourth season sees Emily and her colleagues beginning a new chapter in Rome, Italy.
Bravo isn’t saying if he’ll be back to compete for Emily’s heart after the complicated relationship between Gabriel and Alfie. He had previously mentioned he was unsure about returning because he wasn’t enjoying the role as much anymore.
Okay, so even though Emily’s with Marcello now, I really think Gabriel still has a reason to fight for her. They’ve had this whole ‘will they, won’t they’ thing going on for four seasons! And honestly, even with Marcello in the picture, you can still see the connection between Emily and Gabriel. There are definitely still feelings there!

The new Netflix teaser features Ashley Park reprising her role as the fashionable Mindy, and gives us another look at Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. While not shown in the teaser, Bravo and Lucien Laviscount will both be back as Alfie.
Darren Star created, wrote, and executive produced Emily in Paris. Currently, the show has a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and its fourth season has received the best reviews so far.
Now that Emily has moved to Rome, it’s uncertain whether she’ll come back to Paris, or if the show’s title will be updated to Emily in Rome. Netflix suggested this change in a preview, leaving fans wondering what’s next.
