As a dedicated follower of Luann de Lesseps, I must say that her performance at the Dead Funny gala was nothing short of extraordinary. At 59, she exuded an energy and confidence that left me in awe. Her cabaret act has always been captivating, but seeing her on the red carpet, flaunting her toned abs in a black leather dress, was truly a sight to behold.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but marvel at how Luann de Lesseps showcased her phenomenal physique an astounding six months prior to her 60th birthday!

Everyone was taken aback when the 59-year-old reality television personality captivated the crowd at the Dead Funny: An All-Star Tribute to Joan Rivers gala in New York City on Thursday, donning a sleek black leather dress that highlighted her well-toned midriff.

I, a die-hard fan, couldn’t contain my excitement as I found myself standing in the hallowed grounds of the iconic Apollo Theater in Harlem, all for a cause close to my heart – supporting God’s Love We Deliver, a charity that holds a special place in the heart of my beloved Joan.

Luann styled her rich-brown tresses in a neat updo, while her radiant makeup suggested a fresh-from-the-sun glow.

On the red carpet, it was Luann, a well-known comedian and successful cabaret performer, who stood alongside Michelle Buteau from Survival of the Thickest and Randy Rainbow.

Joan had connections with God’s Love We Deliver since its initial phase in the 1980s New York, a time when this charity provided meals to individuals stricken with AIDS as they neared their end.

She was among the first celebrities to advocate for AIDS research publicly, long before it gained widespread recognition through Elizabeth Taylor’s involvement.

Over time, God’s Love We Deliver broadened its scope, extending its services beyond those affected by HIV/AIDS. Now, it offers meals to a vast number of individuals who are confined at home due to various health issues.

Every Thanksgiving, Joan dedicated some time to personally distributing food to the ill on behalf of a charity, as documented in the 2010 film Joan Rivers: A Piece Of Work.

Approximately ten years back, on September 4, 2014, she passed away following intricate issues stemming from a regular endoscopy procedure.

Several well-known stand-up comics graced the red carpet, with Tiffany Haddish spotted socializing alongside Nikki Glaser.

Aubrey Plaza, Rita Wilson and Chelsea Handler were also spotted at the gala. 

Lately, Luann expressed gratitude for the income her cabaret work provides, acknowledging that earning money as a Real Housewife requires a significant amount of time.

‘Thank God because the TV gigs are far and few between,’ the Countess told Page Six.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but echo the words of De Lesseps, one of the founding ladies on Real Housewives of New York: “Initially, none of us Housewives are in it for the cash.

Luann is taking her cabaret show on the road to London, England and Australia in 2025. 

She’s overjoyed because her cabaret is doing wonderfully, and her performance at Sony Hall in New York City on November 30th has already been sold out.
