In this Australian crime series, the actor from “Vikings”, Travis Fimmel, plays the role of Detective James Cormack, who tackles a fresh cold case every season.

In contrast, the subsequent episodes find Cormack investigating the mysteries surrounding two separate missing person incidents, one of which involves the disappearance of his own brother.

In the past year, this intriguing television series has been introduced and revolves around Sergeant Andrea ‘Andie’ Whitford (Leah Purcell), who is relocated to a remote town called Brokenridge in the Victorian High Country. Her investigation there uncovers five missing persons cases that may be connected.

The TV series titled “High Country,” conceived by Marcia Gardner and John Ridley, draws upon actual occurrences and is hinted to have a haunting ambiance and palpable tension, along with heart-stopping suspense.

The Crow Girl

A new television series, titled “The Crow Girl“, was developed from the works of Erik Axl Sund, and made its premiere on Paramount+ earlier in 2023.

As a gaming enthusiast immersed in the world of virtual reality, I find myself drawn into the gritty, gripping narrative of a series where Katherine Kelly portrays a psychotherapist. She partners with a detective, brilliantly played by Eve Myles, to chase down a chilling serial killer who preys upon young men. This thrilling journey takes us deep into the heart of shadows, exposing a sinister realm of abuse and murder.

Moreover, featuring Crime’s Dougray Scott, Digital Spy described the series as a “thrilling rollercoaster” in their 4-star critique, stating it would delight viewers who decided to join the journey from the start.

Bay of Fires

In this witty blend of darkness and humor, Marta Dusseldorp, known for her role as Jack Irish, portrays a successful CEO. After being compelled into the witness protection program, she finds herself in a quaint Tasmanian village. The townsfolk grow suspicious of her due to her unfamiliarity, while simultaneously she strives to shield her children from danger.

In a precarious situation and facing peril, she is left with no other choice than to place faith in an unfamiliar individual who asserts he’s on her side. She must also embrace an unwanted name (Stella Heikkinen) and relocate her family to Mystery Bay – a secluded location that defies GPS tracking.

As a devotee, I’d say Mystery Bay isn’t the picturesque location you’d find on tourist postcards. It lacks the allure of waterfalls, murals, or floral clocks that are often associated with scenic towns. Instead, it boasts a dense, primordial forest, which the town seems to make an effort to keep under wraps.

Available to stream now on ITVX.
