Maya shared that she’s feeling excited, since she has been cast in the highly popular Netflix show “The Gentlemen,” produced by Guy Ritchie, for its second season and is currently filming.

According to reports, Maya is set to portray the stylish spouse of a questionable ally tied to Eddie Horniman, Theo’s main character.

Filming has commenced at the magnificent Badminton House, located in Gloucestershire, which serves as a stand-in for the fictional Halstead Manor in the series we’re producing.

In addition to Vinnie Jones, the British gangster series now includes a new cast member – Hugh Bonneville, who is famously known for his role in Downton Abbey.

Along with Benjamin Clementine from Dune, Benedetta Porcaroli from The Leopard, Michele Morrone from Another Simple Favour, Sergio Castellito from Conclave, Amra Mallassi from Dune: Part Two, and Tyler Conti are also part of the cast.

The original cast members returning are Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie (possibly a shortened version of Vincent), Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley, and Giancarlo Esposito.

In regards to the upcoming series, Guy mentioned that this part will deliberately broaden its scope, not just in terms of locations (from the English countryside to the Italian lakes), but also in terms of themes.

Eddie (James) and Susie (Scodelario) must deal with a complex and unpredictable empire that’s under threat from mysterious newcomers on all sides. As their situation grows more dangerous, the risks become greater, and the balance of power becomes shaky.

Earlier this year, Maya playfully hinted at something to her followers by sharing a Netflix script online and then posting a mysterious image with Kaya Scodelario, known for playing the character Susie Glass (a mob boss) in The Gentlemen series.

Previously, she subtly suggested she could have attended gatherings with the streamer based on sharing an image of a Netflix-branded mug on her social platforms. However, the exact location or timing wasn’t explicitly stated.

Maya will likely handle both filming commitments along with her current responsibilities on Love Island, since the upcoming summer season starts shortly in Majorca.

Since 2023, she’s been hosting Love Island, a role she assumed from Laura Whitmore. She gained popularity before this on an ITV show less known, titled Don’t Hate the Playaz.

Since then, the ex-girlfriend of rapper Stormzy has flourished in her career and transitioned from collaborating with fast-fashion brand, Pretty Little Thing, to appearing on the cover of Vogue and teaming up with Dolce & Gabbana.

Eventually, it became inevitable that she would be recruited by Netflix. Upon reaching her thirty years, the ex-radio host expressed: “Now that I’ve been incredibly fortunate enough to accomplish all my childhood aspirations before turning 30, I feel it’s time for me to establish new objectives.
