Love Island’s Dejon Noel-Williams confirms ‘sad’ split from Megan Moore seven months after leaving the villa amid difficulties coping with life in the public eye

Love Island’s Dejon Noel-Williams has revealed he and Megan Moore have broken up, just seven months after appearing on the show together. He described the split as ‘sad’.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that the couple had broken up after fighting while on vacation. They both posted pictures from the same location, but didn’t share any photos together, fueling speculation about their split.

Just before Christmas, Dejon confirmed that he and his partner have broken up, sharing the news on Instagram and saying he’s ‘greatly saddened’ by the split.

After leaving the show, the 27-year-old experienced a lot of online negativity. She explained that building a relationship after such an intense experience has been both wonderful and challenging, especially with the added pressure of public attention, her job as a personal trainer, and starting a new business.

Megan, 26, confirmed she and Dejon had broken up, saying she was heartbroken. She also thanked fans for their support during their time on Love Island.

They first connected during the summer season and were the only couple who remained together from the beginning until they were eliminated just before the finale.

Dejon announced that he and Meg have broken up after being together for nearly seven months. He expressed sadness about the split.

Life after the show has been a mix of amazing moments and challenges. It’s been tough adjusting to public attention while also trying to build a career as a personal trainer and launch a new business.

I’m sad things didn’t work out, and I know it will be difficult for both of us to adjust. However, I truly want Meg to be happy and successful in the future.

I’m really sorry to share this unexpectedly, but I’ve always believed in being honest with everyone who has supported me throughout my search for love,

I’m really heartbroken that Dejon and I have decided to end our relationship. I’m so thankful for all the happy memories we made together, and I want to thank everyone for the support and love you’ve shown us both during our time together.

Honestly, all I’m asking for right now is a little privacy. Things have shifted, and I’m trying to figure things out, so I’d really appreciate your patience and understanding as I do.

Dejon and Megan surprised everyone who doubted them by staying together for seven months. They were eliminated from the show right before the finale, and many didn’t expect their relationship to last.

The Islanders who had been eliminated earlier returned to help decide which couple would make it to the final and compete for the £50,000 prize. Unfortunately for Dejon and Megan, they were the couple voted off before the finale.

After viewers called Dejon narcissistic due to his actions on the show, his and his partner’s former colleagues voted them off.

Unlike the other contestants on this summer’s Love Island, he – a former footballer turned personal trainer – directly acknowledged the show’s cameras and openly discussed how viewers might be seeing his relationship with Megan.

Dejon, speaking for the first time since leaving the show, said he is capable of understanding and sharing the feelings of others, but felt disoriented and unsure of himself while on the program. He especially struggled with opening up and showing his emotions on TV.

After being targeted by online harassment – including hateful messages and death threats – he had to disable comments on his social media profile.
