As I ponder over Amber’s heartfelt words, I cannot help but feel a profound sense of empathy and admiration for her journey. Her experiences on Love Island, though filled with fame and success, were not without their challenges. She bravely faced the harsh realities of the limelight, navigating uncharted territories with grace and resilience.

On Thursday, Amber Gill heated things up with a sizzling bikini photo promoting her upcoming book, “One Summer In Miami.”

The television host, aged 27, was absolutely radiant while sunbathing on the beach in a petite black-and-white swimsuit, showcasing her stunning figure under the sun.

2019’s Love Island champion flaunted stylish orange-toned sunglasses while striking multiple poses for her new book promotion.

She further accessorised the beach look with a layer of cute anklets, a cluster of silver rings, and a silver choker necklace.

She labeled the scorching photo with: ‘7 DAYS UNTIL RELEASE… I can hardly contain my excitement for you to delve into Kya & Quinn’s tale. This project has been years in the making for me, and we dedicated this book to the girls who have never encountered themselves in a love story.’

As a lifestyle expert, I deeply value representation, and I’m thrilled to announce that my upcoming book will feature two compelling queer women of color as protagonists. This is a significant moment for me, and I can’t wait for you all to read it! A little sneak peek – some beloved characters from my previous novel, “Until I Met You,” may make a return (winks). I know many of you cherished those characters, and I hope their comeback will be as exciting for you as it is for me.

I’ll be hosting a small token of appreciation, a giveaway, to celebrate the launch. This is my way of saying thank you for your continuous support throughout the years. So, stay tuned!

As a former contestant on a reality TV show, I can empathize with Amber as she shares her feelings of being “the most hated woman in Britain” after her first week on Love Island. It’s not easy to put yourself out there and face harsh criticism from strangers, especially when you’re trying to find love in a high-pressure environment like that show. I remember my own experience of receiving negative feedback online and how it can take a toll on your self-esteem and confidence. However, it’s important to remind ourselves that we are more than just our actions on TV or social media, and we must focus on the love and support from those who truly care about us.

In 2019, the victorious star shared her experience of being called a “b***h” after telling another islander, Callum MacLeod (who was 28 at the time), that he was too old for her preferences.

People labeled Amber, aged 21 at that moment, as ‘ruthless’ due to her comments about the seven-year age difference between them.

During their initial encounter, Callum shared that he was 28 years old. Amber responded with a lighthearted comment, saying, “Oh, so you must be quite experienced then.”

In a captivating conversation on the Glad We Had This Chat with Caroline Hirons podcast, she shared her unique journey. She expressed gratitude for having the opportunity to spend an extended period indoors, which led me to experience a fascinating transformation. Initially, people may have taken a disliking to us, but over time, their perception shifted, and they grew to appreciate us once more.

It seems that others are now appreciating my true character, which is quite amusing since they exclaim, “She has really evolved!” But in truth, I haven’t changed. They’re simply witnessing various aspects of me before.

“Without prior notice, I’ve found myself exhibiting a different aspect of my character. What you’ve witnessed is simply a broader expression of who I truly am.”

In the initial week, it seemed I was perhaps the least favored individual in Britain due to an incident. This disfavor stemmed from my comment about a man’s sunglasses not fitting him, which sparked a wave of criticism with people labeling me as rude. Yet, my response was simply, “Well, he wasn’t.”

‘What do you want us to say? He did. He looked horrible. Oh, and then I was 21 and he was 28. And I said, God, that’s a bit old for me – it was a bit old at the time for me. And apparently, I was a b***h for that.’

In the initial week of the show, Callum and Amber were initially matched together. However, by day five, Amber chose Anton Danyluk over Callum, leading to his elimination from the show.

Despite her recent appearances on shows such as Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Amber now feels that she’s concluded her television journey.

She expressed that television isn’t her goal as it feels constraining to her. It seems repetitive and somewhat dull. In her words, “it’s a bit boring.”

Amber struggled with adapting to stardom and expressed her belief that the show’s producers might not be able to provide significant help to the cast members, despite offering therapy and post-show support.

She stated, “They might attempt to aid, but I believe it won’t work,” she explained. “It can’t be done since they lack the experience. In my mind, I wish I could step in and inform everyone about the situation, offering assistance because I would simply say: this is terrible.”

Although my victory was wonderful and appreciated by all, there’s a downside because I’m unsure of how to manage this newfound success.

Based on my personal experiences, I have received both training and therapy, but nothing could truly prepare me for the raw, unfiltered reality of living through certain situations. The knowledge gained from books or instructional videos can only take you so far; it’s the actual lived experience that leaves an indelible mark on your soul. Each moment, each emotion, and every challenge is unique to the individual going through it, making every experience a learning journey like no other.

As someone who’s been there, let me offer this advice to potential islanders: Jumping into Love Island without understanding the ride ahead is not advisable, but I did just that and found myself thriving. However, I wouldn’t encourage others to follow my path as it was like boarding a speeding train with no map or destination in mind.

As someone who has spent most of my life away from the glitz and glamour of the influencer, PR, press, and TV worlds, I can confidently say that I have always been a stranger to these realms. Growing up in a small town, my world was limited to the immediate surroundings, and the idea of fame or being on television was nothing more than a distant dream. Even now, as I navigate through adulthood, I find myself still somewhat detached from these worlds, often feeling like an outsider looking in. This lack of familiarity with these fields doesn’t diminish my appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into building a successful career within them, but it does make me realize just how different my life experiences have been compared to those who thrive in these vibrant and dynamic industries.

Apart from what Amber mentioned earlier, she once shared that at the age of 24, she was diagnosed with ADHD. Before this diagnosis, she often perceived herself as being ‘less diligent.’

She admitted, “I was incredibly harsh with myself. It intensified significantly, I believe, once I received my diagnosis, as I hadn’t fully recognized what was happening to me earlier during my school years.”

Following the conclusion of Love Island, it became apparent as more individuals began sharing their collections extensively on social media platforms.

By following through with this action, I found myself incapable of accomplishing anything, and people seemed to comment, ‘She won the show yet isn’t doing anything.’ To which I responded, ‘I’m working at the speed that suits me best.’
