Love Island Star Tanyel’s Painful Nose Job: The Real Reason Behind Her Surgery

On a recent episode, Love Island star Tanyel Revan publicly displayed the outcome of her recent rhinoplasty surgery, and shared her experiences during the often-painful process.

The celebrity admitted that she’d opted for a nose job, following earlier attempts with nose fillers that adversely affected her original nose appearance.

On their “I’m Right, He’s Wrong” podcast alongside co-host Ron Hall, Tanyel confessed that she constantly cried throughout her recovery process because of the discomfort caused by the swelling and pain.

She also shared a number of selfies showing off her bandaged nose and bruised and swollen eyes. 

Tanyel stated: “I don’t feel ashamed about possessing it. I’ve recently developed an appreciation for it. My initial reaction was similar to being taken aback or shocked, and my expression seemed comical.

One day, I wept profusely for about an hour straight. My tears were so abundant that I couldn’t even peek through my closed eyelids, and my eyelashes became matted together as a result.

On a particular day, I shed countless tears for almost an hour without pause. The intensity of my crying made it impossible for me to open my eyes, and eventually, my eyelashes stuck together.

Tanyel criticized other influencers who stated that the surgery was painless because they received it without cost.

She added: “Those who claim it doesn’t hurt or isn’t painful, they are likely the ones receiving freebies since this experience was incredibly uncomfortable.

The discomfort was unbearable, truly. Initially, upon waking, I thought it was terrible, but by the third day, the swelling became excruciatingly intense, almost causing me to faint.

In my personal experience, the choices I made took a toll on me, and by the second day, I began to notice improvements. Feeling invigorated, I ventured out for some retail therapy. However, I overexerted myself and soon felt fatigue setting in. As the hours passed, my face and eyes started swelling up considerably, making it difficult for me to see clearly due to the intense swelling. I had brought this upon myself, unfortunately.

By the fifth day, I began to feel significantly improved. To be honest, it wasn’t the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, but since it was on my face, I had discomfort in my ears, jaw, and teeth. About a week later, all the pain vanished.

The celebrity from ITV2, known for her stint on the Love Island winter edition in January 2023, also expressed being ‘terrified’ as she took off her dressings.

She expressed: “At first, after removing the cast, I wasn’t pleased with my nose. It made me quite anxious, thinking it wasn’t what I desired. However, the surgeon reassured me, saying ‘trust me,’ and added that in a month’s time, I would grow to love it.

Things are improving day by day now, but the tip of the nose remains raised and swollen. Truth be told, I didn’t want a new nose; I only desired the removal of the filler that had spread unintentionally, leaving some definition behind.

As someone who values transparency, I’d like to share my journey. Initially, I was content with my naturally beautiful nose. However, after careful contemplation and self-reflection, I chose to undergo a procedure to alter it. The decision wasn’t made lightly, but I felt it was the right step for me.

Ron said: ‘So many people get stuff done and then later wish they had never had it done’.

Tanyel mentioned, “I’m discussing this openly because the nasal filler ended up altering a nose that wasn’t causing me any issues before. Now, I find myself needing to have it removed.

2023 saw Tanyel accepting her property developer boyfriend Ediz’s heartfelt yacht-based proposal, resulting in their engagement.

The television personality agreed to marry her attractive companion when he proposed during a loving getaway in Turkey.

10 months have passed since she appeared on the 2023 winter season of Love Island South Africa, where her quest for love was unsuccessful.

After departing from the villa, she crossed paths with Ediz not long after, and their relationship has been thriving ever since.

On the romantic boat ride for the proposal, she was stunningly radiant, dressed in a delicate white lace gown that accentuated her silhouette. She gleamed with pride, displaying her sparkling engagement ring and an impressive bouquet filled with pure white roses.

Tanyel revealed to The Sun that she got engaged: “It was wild! This seems to be the fastest engagement after Love Island. It feels absolutely insane, but incredibly thrilling at the same time.

Without a doubt, I agreed with delight! I was thrilled beyond words. I simply couldn’t contain my excitement. My engagement ring is a beautiful shade of yellow gold – just as I had envisioned. The clarity is truly astounding; it’s almost like looking into a crystal clear lake.

She added: “I’m absolutely thrilled. It feels right. I sensed it was approaching and I knew the moment had arrived. When one knows, one simply knows. There’s no doubt in my mind that I couldn’t have been with anyone but them.

Tanyel and Ediz initially became a couple when Tanyel turned 20, however, they gradually grew apart. Yet, their connection was rekindled after Tanyel departed from Love Island.

During the reunion show in March, she initially hinted at having entered a new romantic relationship by disclosing that she was seeing someone.

After departing from the villa, Tanyel resumed her usual lifestyle and went back to working at her hair salon located in North London.

On Love Island, Tanyel had a brief pairing with Kai Fagan, but ultimately Kai won the competition alongside his partner, Sanam Harrinanan.
