Love Island star reveals she’s jetted to Turkey for ‘painful’ cat eye facelift surgery as she shares tragic reason behind the procedure
Love Island personality Patsy Field has disclosed that she opted for cosmetic surgery in an attempt to boost her self-esteem following a dip in confidence during her time on ITV2’s dating program.
A 30-year-old influencer, known for openly discussing her condition Erb’s palsy (a disorder that affects the development of one arm), traveled to Turkey by herself to receive a cosmetic eyelid surgery, often referred to as a ‘cat eye facelift‘.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but share my thoughts on Patsy’s recent revelation. She admitted to feeling the intense weight of being an influencer, leading her to consider surgery as a means of relief. Interestingly, she clarified that this procedure was generously offered and left me pondering if she would have made the same decision had it not been complimentary.
Last year’s Love Island celebrity found herself facing a mirrorless existence when she awoke in the hospital, confessing that at first sight of herself, she felt a deep shock and avoided gazing into mirrors for several days due to her initial dismay over her appearance.
She shared with The Sun, “Upon returning, I found myself alone in Turkey, filled with discomfort and a hint of fear, questioning myself, ‘What on earth did I get myself into?’ at first.
My eyes looked like two small, round pink orbs, barely revealing a narrow crack for sight, and it was at that moment I realized, oops, I must have made a mistake.

Discussing her reasons for undergoing surgery, Patsy openly shared that constant exposure on television and social media had a negative impact on her self-confidence.
She mentioned: ‘I aimed to enhance my self-image by making some changes, and I believed this would subtly alter my appearance. I’m content with the result, but I also feel that if you aspire to be an influencer or want to try it out, you’re often capturing videos and photos of yourself frequently.’
I often examine photos of myself, wondering if I appear too old or if there are certain aspects I don’t like. That’s what ultimately motivated me to take action.
She mentioned that the process was a blessing to her, saying, “I can’t be certain if I would have done it otherwise. However, for quite some time now, I’ve had a lingering insecurity about my eyes.
Patsy added that she ‘would not recommend’ the surgery to her young fans or followers.
Previously employed in office administration, this reality TV personality decided to participate in Love Island last year. In an interview, she admitted that post her stint on the show, she has faced challenges when it comes to choosing a career and is contemplating relocating to Australia to secure a typical 9-5 job.
Last summer, Patsy made a striking debut on our screens, first forming a pair with Ayo, later chosen by Munveer instead.
But after just 10 days they were voted out by their fellow Islanders.

Before embarking on Love Island, Patsy shared that she collaborated with ITV executives to modify the villa according to her disability needs, during the previous year.
Previously serving as an office administrator, this individual openly discussed their experience living with Erb’s Palsy – a disorder marked by reduced strength and mobility in the arms, acquired during a difficult childbirth at Lewisham Hospital.
She’s had multiple surgeries on her arm, which involved muscle and nerve grafts, with the aim of enhancing the smoothness of her movements.
As I prepare for my upcoming appearance on this popular series, I want to assure everyone that the producers have left no stone unturned in ensuring they cater to my needs during my time on the show. They’ve got everything under control!
She shared with The Sun, “I have thoroughly considered every aspect regarding my willingness to engage in daily tasks and more.
Some things might be intriguing for others to watch on camera, but they are activities I can’t perform. For instance, tying my hair up is something I find challenging.
However, whenever I need to lift my arm for styling my hair, I usually look for something to brace it against, such as a table or wall. Alternatively, in social situations, I might lean on my friend’s shoulder, which is a common sight if you observe me closely.
‘So you’ll definitely as as the show plays out, you’ll be able to see things I can and can’t do.’
In the past, she’s shared about her disability and upbringing: “I appeared to be a typical newborn, or so it should have seemed, but I sustained an injury or developed a disability at birth.

Over time, I’ve undergone several surgeries, including muscle and nerve grafts, to reach my current state, one that I’m content with. It’s encouraging to know that others with similar conditions are also seeing positive progress.
This is something that has been a constant presence throughout my lifetime, which I’ve grown accustomed to and can’t imagine life without. On a daily basis, it takes up only a modest portion of my identity.
Patsy aspired to motivate others who have disabilities to embrace their bodies with the same confidence she possesses, so she openly discussed her personal experiences with her fellow cast members.
She expressed enthusiasm about discussing the topic at the villa, hoping that people can grasp a better understanding of it from her explanation.
‘I genuinely wish there are individuals nationwide with similar experiences, just as I know others with my specific condition who might witness me taking on tasks like this and think, ‘Wow, I would have never considered doing something like that,’ but seeing me do it boosts their confidence, and I can inspire the same in them.’
