Love Island Star Molly-Mae Hague’s Shocking Health Battle and Its Impact on Her Relationship with Tommy Fury!
Molly-Mae Hague consistently shares her ongoing struggle with endometriosis, including its impact on her sexual desires.
The reality television personality, aged 25, who is preparing for the debut of her upcoming documentary this coming Friday, had earlier shared insights on how it affected her sex life with her former fiancé, Tommy Fury, also 25, whom she parted ways with in August 2024, leaving their relationship seemingly devoid of intimacy.
In simple terms, endometriosis involves the growth of tissue akin to the womb’s lining in various parts outside the uterus across the body.
Excessive tissue growth, while often mild, can escalate to extreme discomfort and even lead to fusion of organs due to the prolonged duration cells remain in the body following their thickening during the menstrual period.
In conversation about her health struggle that remained hidden during her time on Love Island, Molly-Mae revealed that she had been unaware of this condition prior to Tommy, as they hadn’t been engaging in sexual activity. Instead, she attributed the symptoms to severe menstrual cramps.
In her 2022 memoir titled “Becoming Molly-Mae,” she mentioned that prior to being in a relationship with Tommy, she hadn’t engaged in much sexual activity, which led her to believe that the only issues she had were related to her menstrual cramps.
She commented: “I was experiencing excruciating discomfort, as if I had been wounded with a knife in my abdomen, truly agonizing. It was creating numerous problems for me.
‘I’m overwhelmed with too much data, but I must say, my intimate life has vanished – it simply doesn’t fit in our relationship dynamics.’
Previously, Molly-Mae openly discussed her struggle with endometriosis, confessing that she believed she might not survive and had almost dialed emergency services several times due to the intensity of her menstrual pain.
She said: ‘Tommy didn’t have a clue how to handle me before; he’d often gaze at me as if he was clueless about what to do.’
Molly-Mae disclosed that things took a turn when she became pregnant with their daughter Bambi, stating that her sexual desire significantly increased.
In contrast, Tommy felt ‘uncomfortable’.
During their vlog together, Molly-Mae mentioned something extra: When she was expecting, her sexual desire was incredibly high.
Zoe replied: ‘Oh really?’ as Molly continued: ‘Yeah literally like through the roof.
During my pregnancy, Tommy seemed a little taken aback, which is understandable since not all men react the same way. And you, Zoe, admitted that in similar circumstances, you might feel the same.
Molly mentioned: “Some men find it fascinating or some partners may feel… Tommy felt uneasy about the idea that Bambi was carrying our child, while I was standing here. Frankly, it seemed a little awkward.
Zoe said: ‘I think low sex drives in females is a lot more common than you think.
It might be helpful to discuss this matter with your partner. In my past experience, when I was pregnant and desired intimacy more frequently than my partner, I sometimes felt insecure about it, asking things like, “Do you not find me attractive?
Whenever I’m not feeling up to par, Tommy, I always make sure to let him know, “It’s got nothing to do with you; it’s all on my end.” This way, I can emphasize that my struggles are my own, and he shouldn’t take them personally.
Ever since we brought our little bundle of joy into our lives, my partner and I have been living in a world where romance seems to have taken a back seat. For an entire year now, our intimate moments have been few and far between, and I, myself, have had to admit this truth.
She shared with her YouTube audience: “Since welcoming Bambi into our lives, it’s almost been a year, and Tommy and I haven’t had much undisturbed time for ourselves. We do go on dates and watch movies, but I don’t consider these as genuine couple time – the kind of adult, intimate, high-quality time that we truly need as a pair.
‘And I feel like we haven’t done that coming up to a year now.’
